I have the Ryker Rally and I changed to the Solo Comfort Seat for the same exact reason. I did not want to lose the mount but Ryker was unrideable without this seat. I was able to sell my mount for the same price as the seat so it was a wash.

it would be nice if they would come up with a luggage system for the solo seat besides the one side bag. I just dont like the unbalanced look. I love the solo seat look

He commented on mounting the seat and having to split the "clamshell". I'm over 300 pounds and I did the install with wood screws (see my install videos for reference. Sorry, I didn't have a helper for the camera so there are not too many action shots) which I consider a lot stronger than the rubber flaps that the stock seat uses. So far the seat is staying on fine. The screws I used are long enough to secure the plastic on both sides of the plastic feet so there are 8 points of retention. I tug on the seat sometimes to test it but never an issue. The bike feels so much bigger with the comfort seat. I love that shifter!! Sweet!! I may try to use a glass doorknob for mine.

Nicest ryker I’ve seen so far. I’m 5’9” and 330 lbs. I like the seat, but would rather go with the Elka shocks all the way around , with stiffer sway bar and end links. Still learning and shopping. Have two bikes to sell before purchase. Still dreaming. Love your vids!,

Great video. I am still up in the air regarding the solo seat. i just love the way it looks on the Ryker. I too upgraded my handlebars (outalnder ATV)but I also have the front outlander deflector/fairing. I had totally forgotten I had a Garmin Nuvi50 so now I have a mount for it on my front fairing. The Garmin products are awesome.

I like the look of not having the cargo luggage. But I like the idea of having the option. With the solo seat you dont have the option right now to put a behind the seat storage.
