Excellent and quirky design. Great decision by Citroen to focus on what they do best which is comfortable cars.

I was looking through the internet last night and I found some facts about electric cars, we all know electric cars have no exhausts so thats why people think they are good for the environment, but they are not as green as you would think, here are some facts that back my statement up: Electric cars use Lithium-ion batteries, which are much larger, and they require several different materials, like lithium and cobalt which require a lot of energy to extract and re purpose into lithium-ion batteries. All these materials take more energy to produce, producing electric car batteries create more greenhouse gas emissions. Electric car production produces at least 15% more carbon emissions as the size of lithium-ion batteries get larger. The mining of lithium is not a green activity, when an electric car rolls of the production line, it has already been responsible for more than 25, 000 lbs. of CO2, the amount of making a conventional car, it is just 16,000 lbs. of CO2. Most modern combustion engines come with stop/start technology and have mild hybrid assistance to improve fuel economy and reduce co2 emissions. We are being told that petrol and diesel cars are bad for the environment and the best way to contribute to climate chnage is going electric but these articles never tells us the real facts about electric cars. The government shouldn't increase the price of fuel this year and invest in more public transport and better, safer roads and more cycling lanes as that is the most environmently friendly way of transport and its good for people's mental and physical health, it prevents people from becoming overweight, obesity and heart disease and it won't overcrowd the hospitals which nobody wants.

There are other reason for choosing an electric car than the environment, for instance lower total cost (not applicable for all, requires charging at home, a fair bit of miles per year driven, the right drive pattern and/or more than one car in the household) and a better drive train. Of course the best car for the environment is no car at all, unfortunately not an option for many of us. I still think that the electric car probably is better for the environment than an ICE car, but that is hard to say for sure.
@thomasatanto3 жыл бұрын
@@whatever-xw8cw Thats your opinion but I still think electric cars are not what they are made out to be and not as good for the environment as they are advertised.
@whatever-xw8cw3 жыл бұрын
@@thomasatanto OK fair enough. I only wanted to point out that it is hard to determine whether it is better for the environment or not, but there is other reasons to choose an electric car. I think most of us who drives electric cars do it for other reasons. If it is better for the environment, that would just be a bonus.

So ugly. Indeed it's quirky, but could perfectly be the brand new model from a chinese car company. It does not look French, and it definitely does not look like it comes from Citroën's heritage. Luckily they dropped the tacky color options of the C5 and C3 Aircross. So sad what Citroën has become, after that brief "comeback" in the mid 2 thousands, with the C6 and the rest of the lineup.
