2021 Cult Crew Juvenile 16" Bike Review

I am tempted to get Cult Juvenile cranks for myself for better clearance. Are they strong enough for an adult? Do you have any thoughts on this idea?

I wouldn’t recommend that. Plenty of brands make 160mm cranks for clearance, get something 48 splined pressfit. No pinch bolts.

The 990 u-brake sucks compares to the odyssey brake on a Sunday blueprint 16. It won’t stop on a dime and the level is very tight. Tried adjusting it the whole night for my kid and nothing works. Do you have the same experience with the brake? Caps on the grip keep coming off also. Unlike Sunday which has an screw to keep it secure. Really regret getting the cult juvi $411 (tax n shipping). The Sunday blueprint 16 was just $260!! And it’s a much more solid bike.

The brakes don't create a lot of power. I suggest a linear cable and reducing the return spring to low as possible. I've been in touch wit them on improving the brake spec for future bikes.

@@kingsrideshop It's doesn't stop fully at all, the odyssey springfield stops on a dime with ease and no fuss with adjustment. I need to have a local bike shop to fix the cult brake for my kid. Isn't the cult juvi brake cable linear?? had i know this i would have waited for a 2022 blueprint....

@@TheMaFamily88 the sunday blue print doesn't come with sealed bottom bracket, those breaks work just fine with a bit of tuning or some Kool stop pads.

My son has the 18" Juvenile. Will any 3/8 Peg fit or do they need to be a certain size to fit? Thanks for any info

The front on the 18" is 3/8" but the rear is 14mm I believe. Any pegs that have that spec should work. Obviously don't use thread on pegs. Thanks!

Hey I have a question on a 18 inch bmx 2021 grey does it have removable mounts because in the photo on your site it show it has a black removable brake

No the Juvenile line of complete bikes do not have removable tabs.
