Definitely a good looking bike. A lot of people are saying overpriced but it does have full hydraulic brakes, an actual customizable controller and a "real" 750 motor. All the things I had to add to my Rover 5. Not to mention a rear suspension. I think it's a fair price. Keep the reviews coming and thanks for keeping it real and to the point.
@Benjamin_Jehne3 жыл бұрын
It is overpriced, because it’s a no name hydraulic brake, the fork is cheap shit, the weldings on the frame looking horrible and you end up with the cheapest 7speed Shimano offers. Also the battery is really small for that kind of bike. Sorry but everything screams just cheap cheap cheap on this bike. It’s horrible and I don’t see any reason why this is over 2000$.
@CitizenCycle9253 жыл бұрын
I agree if you buy a radrover and try to upgrade it into a bike comparable to this one, you would spend the same amount or more and you still wouldn't have full suspension.
@dereks.67833 жыл бұрын
@@CitizenCycle925 Yeah Man, I might pick one up as a FUN bike or for a backup to my Rover. LOVE the rear suspension. I would NOT put a rear rack, basket(s) panniers, etc. It's very cool (and fast) out of the box and it is really slick bone stock. It might not have the most top of the line parts but unless you build one from scratch (maybe Citizen Cycle might do this?) you'll never make everyone happy. I would really love for you to build a bike starting from a bare frame and keep a running total of what every part, from major and minor components, nuts and bolts and most importantly, labor costs. I think people will be amazed at how quickly the money starts to flow.
@Benjamin_Jehne3 жыл бұрын
@@CitizenCycle925 This fullsuspension is worthless, because it’s from such a low quality that you will run into issues within one or two years. You just try these things new, and new everything shines, but people who buy this, want to use it over years and want to have fun with it. It’s the same with the brakes, is it no Magura, Shimano, SRam or Tektro be aware. When even cheap Tekro hydraulic brakes are to expensive - and they’re really really cheap - just don’tbuy it. If 50 bucks is to much, ask for the price of a bed in a hospital for one day and ask yourself the question again if 50 bucks is to much. And if we’re talking about prices, an Acera 8 speed derailleur is about 30$, the cassette is just 15-20$ so what are we talking about?

Their customer service is non-existent because these companies are solely middle-men. You can find this EXACT bike on the "Ali" type websites for approx. $1k less. All these companies do is order in bulk from the same site, and slap a sticker with their "brand" on it (better explanation here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/jp-QZKtqrNF8jKM).

Not all ebike companies are this way. Just bought a fat tire 1000w ebike from a new local company, Great guy who runs it great service.. Had a bent front disk rotor when arrived and he refunded me the cost of a new one and the cost for a local (even closer) bike shop to replace it. All over the phone! And the bike was pre-built apart from front wheel and was free next day delivery. Of course, I could save money buy one from china or these guys or build one me self but it's a cool bike and I know I'm getting looked after during my warranty and probably beyond judging by the service so far. (Plus I wouldn't know where to start with building one anyway lol) - Which is my these companies exist.

The pedal assist is a completely separate system from the throttle. When you use the throttle you can go from minimum to maximum speed, regardless of the pedal assist level set. In other words you can be in pedal assist 1 but still use the throttle to go maximum speed.

Pretty cool! Some things that wouldn't be my preference are the type of fenders, especially the rear one, the handlebars being more forward, nothing extreme, just preferences. Very decent bike, I have same one, same colour. I got a rear rack included in mine though. Mine has different brakes. My tires don’t have the white lettering, thank god! I love the paint job, it turns heads. It might be slightly overpriced, but it’s worth it in my eyes. The bafang motor is powerful. Only thing is I would have liked more gears. You can change a setting on the computer that restricts the motor to not peak over 750w, that gives you nearly double battery range.

The cyrusher climbs hills very easily but if you want brute force torque, the mid drive motor is going to be better for that.

I just bought mine and I find it to be a powerful bike that in power setting 5 really takes off. I find it does struggles up hills though. I'm not talking terribly steep hills. I'm 61 years old, haven't ridden a bike regularly since I was a kid. So I'm not talking about hills so steep one might call it aggressive or technical. I weight 265 lbs. so when we go up steeper hills just using the motor it seems to bog down quite a bit. The speed will drop to around 10 mph in the strongest motor setting in first gear. Though it slows down it doesn't continue to slow down. It will keep going at that reduced speed. Kind of wondering what taking the speed limiter off would do to power going up hills. Might have to experiment.

Idea! Try it as it is a game changer for maintaining speed and conserving conserving the battery. Put a larger chain ring on any bike you will see improvement. At least 60 tooth chain ring in my opinion for 1000w motor. The manufacturers know that with electric motors getting started is easy so larger ring is no problem. The continue with the smaller ring to save money and the result is they turn us into hamsters. Try it. Game changer. Mind blowing!

I love your videos, great job! I'm currently looking to buy an Ebike, but I don't really understand where XF800 is getting a much higher price from. Here in the EU it's 500-600 euros difference. But all it got is a bafang motor that's a little bit more powerful compared to what's on XF650, a suspension (Ok that's nice, I give you that), and full hydraulic breaks instead of hybrid, but I would say it's not a huge difference. Seat is better on XF600, frame looks better on XF650 (Especially with hidden cable lines). Same front fort suspension, same gear shifter, same front light (With missing horn on XF800). Fenders are straight up better on XF650.

Having the handle bars more forward with no adjustability to move them back is a non starter. Most people are don’t like having their head/neck bent way back for a normal ride. No simple safety items like a bell or rear brake light combined with those cheapo after-thought fenders seems like a rush-to-market and maximize profit approach. No water bottle mount...geez.
