PSA: At 1:05:07 I accidentally use Dog's effect for a second time this turn! You still would special the dog there, but you might either go all in on the using the Vendor add off the Wings draws to get Sheep or play more conservatively and get a Penguin to keep Edge Imp Scythe and Penguin live. Wow, those are some insane combos. I'd love to pull this off at my locals. My deck is too focused on fusion spamming, and it sorely lacks consistent negation. I've played against Prank-Kids three times and got annihilated every time. Artifact Scythe would be hilarious to use against them. I still worry about Droll and Lock Bird, but I'm only halfway through. edit: I did some more test hands and realized how bad my tunnel vision was with the fusions. Even with my deck as it is now, I was able to get to Toadally Awesome and Abyss Dweller consistently. This knowledge may have been useful against people I lost against, especially Prank-Kids users. Also, that Eldlich/Vendor combo is beautiful.

Yeah, that's generally what soft once per turn means! Penguin's wording is slightly different because its once while this card is on the field, but it's functionally the same thing.

EDIT: just got to the end of the video and you already adressed this; ofc it's still a weakness of the deck but still it's a pretty good option. In theory you could also use the meister instead of the necro fusion because lilith sets from the deck and meister specials from the deck! Very nice Incredible stuff, loved these test had showcases! In theory can this deck play around droll? Like toadally can definetly negate it but unless you open dolphin+penguin it feels like they'd resolve it anyways. For like a game 2/3 (if I had the space in the side) would you consider something like rafflesia+gravedigger's trap hole if I know I'm going first? You could make her with any other lvl 4 besides penguin, you lose some advantage but it could be insurance if you know the opponent is on droll. Otherwise are there other ways to play around droll?

Yeah, you definitely have some options. First you can play stuff like Gamma or Herald of the Orange Light. You basically trade a few Vendor hits for protection in that sense, and often you can do a lot without commiting to the board. One other way to insulate yourself is to blind second game 1 and then play some side deck mindgames. I did this in the CSM and it worked out really well! Raff is an option, you could do stuff like Parallel eXceed as a funny option or bump up dolphin so that you see Penguin Dolphin hands more often. Rafflesia is also nice because you could turn hands like Penguin Dog and Poly access into a pretty reasonable setup.

Also have you ever considered running Proxy F Magician in a flex spot in the extra? It's a poly on legs and allows for some situational extension if you have an octopus or meister in hand. On top of that, it's a fire attribute link 2 to give you an additional Accesscode pop. Idk, if it's just too situational I get it

Proxy F is so good, I don't play it for space reasons but if you want to swap a flex spot for it go for it. Mr. Ease plays it and the stuff it enables is kinda bonkers.

You could if you wanted to, but there I would prefer to maximize the interactions other than necro. That line is doable but gets a bit convoluted in that you have to octopus back the edge imp scythe to get it back to your hand. I might do something like that for games 2 or 3 going first but i don't think I'd reveal the tricks game 1

Yes! In general, you are only fusion summoning once when going first. Owl may be an option depending on how popular imp order gets but golden lord can solve that problem in the main or side if you're worried. Sorry abt the volume too! I'm not sure why it came out so low, I'll fix that up for the next one.

Also, something like proxy f can kinda solve the problem in the ED if you are finding you want owl. It was in prototype builds back when we were adding harbinger to this build instead of ending on the cross sheep, so its something to consider if you want to experiment.

Cross sheep and sabres kinda give that extra utility so that if you have to make cross sheep later in your combo instead of before you fusion summon you can still get the cross sheep summon. Keeping the fusion in the middle is the best way to make sure you always keep your zones good for cross. I'm glad the video has helped!

Hey man, just wanna say thank you, this video is amazing! One quick question: What's the reason you play toad and bahamut instead of rafflesia and gravediggers in the main deck? I know toad is an omni negate and recycles, however gravediggers makes lilith live even if you draw a nekrofusion.

That's definitely an option! Basically its a tradeoff of toad being a stronger part of the end board that also offers recursion than a possible hand effect stopper and an additional trap target. While I'm not playing the necro fusion version at the moment, I would maybe find room for impermanence as alternate lilith targets. Raff also has the advantage of being able to be made with something like Penguin and Dog, but being able to use Bahamut Shark as link material ultimately makes it better to play. Means making cross sheep before or after fusion summoning is much more viable.

I think you have more than enough backrow removal either through Necro Fusion, your hard poly into tigers and whales and your side deck with Twin Twisters and the like I don't think its needed. There could be formats for sure where its good though! Scythe lock plus an extra pop sounds pretty nice in theory

I'm not entirely sure its better, I think for the upcoming format it might be. I'd only play that version if you own Forbidden Droplet though. If you don't, I'd definitely stick to the blind first. I don't own them atm and I just went 3-0-1 at my locals, so the go first build is still strong going first and then does well post siding.

@@TheMinor16 You could main deck the dark rulers and give the list a shot with the rulers over the droplet! Droplet is just really nice because it can get advantage via Vendor and Chain, but you could give it a shot with Dark Ruler. If you do that, I would definitely keep the Artifact Scythe in the main deck in order to be able to set up post Dark Ruler because you can't make lethal, and it mostly just means there will be edge cases where you lose to a Dweller. Definitely would be playable! Phant into Dark Ruler, Golden Lord, Edge Imp Scythe or Poly is really strong. Give it a shot and let the Necro Fusion discord know how it runs!

I think not quite yet. There's definitely potential in the future but as it stands now it just adds bricks and doesn't really add much to the fluffal toolbox, but there are glimmers of what could be possible depending on if it gets another wave of support. If you want an interesting card to tech in that's cool as generic fusion support, try Fusion Recycling Plant!

I think its a bit tricky. The ROTD cards are likely to make it into the Mega Tins, but those are already cheap. There's a universe I think where Penguin and Kraken get reprints but I highly doubt that Octopus will. Luckily Octo has been cooling off on the market, and while I think there's a small chance we could see Penguin/Kraken in something like Battles of Legend I kinda doubt it.

Penguin's first effect is soft once per turn! This is because it says "once while THIS CARD is on the field." That way, if you get another copy of Penguin on the board you can use the hand summon effect again.

Have no clue how these test hands are so lucky. I've done so many games on EDOpro and it's just brick after brick. Not even a matter of not knowing what to do, like I can play one card and the rest are dead in my hand, and that card doesn't even lead into more combos. Maybe 1 in 10 games I can actually do more than one or two moves and actually get a combo going.

Could be practice honestly! It took me a solid couple weeks. I'm actually not playing necro fusion in my current list for this format but I went 8-3 at the ycs on Fluffal and I've been doing well with it. I can fire over an updated list if you like!

@@GiantSkyhawk so just as an example, and there are plenty, I'll get a hand like penguin, chain, sabres, Lilith, and Necro fusion. Not a whole lot I can do aside from set pass. Other times I might get a good card like toy vendor or FB goods, but the rest of my hand is still bricky. So I can use the vendor to discard and draw (I kind of have to since it's the only play I can even make), then I'll draw something like fb goods, discard it, and then my turn is over and I end up doing a set/pass. If I get an FB goods, obviously I send toy vendor to the grave but even when searching a fluffal, my entire hand is unplayable. I'll get a dog or something off of the search and have to normal summon that, half the time the only thing I can search to keep making plays is bear > vendor > draw into something that's not a fluffal or chain, so I discard with no benefit. It's either like EDOpro is setup to make you brick with consistent decks, or you are extremely lucky with your draws.

@@horneblendeandcamguy Not really sure my hands are all that lucky! One of these test hands my opener was double poly, penguin, fb goods and artifact scythe and it still set up a solid board. If you haven't liked the deck that's a-ok, but maybe you're still struggling with the sequencing? I'd be happy to hop on a discord call or something and work through lines if you're struggling. I don't think its EDO, as I managed to get top 4 at a chalislime monthy with the Necro Fusion package in the side deck and I went 8-3 at the remote duel ycs on a list not playing necro at all. The problem isn't the strategy itself, I think if you have that many unplayable hands it might be worth looking into how you use resources!

So, Wolf is really cool for attacking into an open boardstate but ED space is very tight and if I was on Wolf I would also want to play Verte Anaconda. Wolf doesn't accomplish 2 important things: It doesn't help you boardbuild and it doesn't help you clear your opponents board. Wolf is cool, but I see it as unecessary because it doesn't accomplish either of those two most important things and Fluffal on its own is generally able to OTK post board-clearing even without access to Wolf.

@@CacciatoreNero The only ED disruption is Nightmary, and unfortunately its effect is too specific to be useful. All of the other fusions only really work going second or if you set up Necro Fusion/Edge Imp Scythe. If you like playing Fluffal that way, blind second! I'm using the card to try to go first and win the game and both approaches are valid. Just because we're playing the deck in a different way that doesn't change that its the same cards. Stop gatekeeping a yugioh deck mate.
