Some of the stuff on the XLT is nice, sure, but it's also stuff that just adds more inevitable headaches down the road. Simpler is always better in terms of reliability, and even excluding that (like if you only plan to own it for a couple of years) I don't think the niceties justify the price hike. I'm going XL 4X4, regular cab, 8 ft bed, 5.0 liter, 6-speed auto (would rather a manual, but fuggedabout that...6-speed over the 10-speed for sure.)
