Yeah it’s tough sometimes, especially when on the highway and if there’s a stretch of road I just wanna cut her loose…however, I’m learned that in 40 degree weather 3rd gear 60mph half throttle roughly 4200 revs it’ll break traction hard so I need to figure something out with that. Keeps me honest in a way though because if it had on demand grip like awd id be under the jail already. And I’m only 3 days in to ownership lmao.

Haven’t really cut her loose yet…it’s been raining pretty often lately, so she’s been sitting pretty in the garage except for one day it rained unexpectedly and I was out with her. So far so good though, it’s a blast to drive, plenty of power on tap, and very fun transmission. waiting for summer to grab some more vids. I will say I’m impressed so far.

Yes you can, that's actually launch control, it's made to do that.

There is fluid in the torque converter that speeds up due to centrifugal force that builds pressure when the torque converter plate attached to the transmission is stationary. This is why the Hellcat only comes in planetary gear set automatic and not DCT. Planetary gearset automatics are built to handle alot of torque this is why literally every pickup truck uses these transmissions.
