Great covers Michael! That guitar is beautiful and great sounding. I would prefer the pickup controls to be inside the sound hole instead of on top of the side for aesthetic reasons.

As far as I know, the Songwriter is quite a special guitar design wise. It originates from the CL series which was a blend of all the good from the traditional models trying to avoid some of their not-so-good. Everytime I had one in my hands, I was very positively surprised how balanced this guitar sounded.

Sounding great. Any acoustic players out there that prefer a Fishman or will a good quality tube amp do, like Fender, Marshall, Vox, etc. ? Opinions appreciated. Thank you. ✌️

For an acoustic you always want a PA or an acoustic specific amp. Something that’s FRFR

Regular tube amp definitely not the way to go. An acoustic amp, pa, etc something as flat as possible

It will sound better thru tubes. But the other posts are right that electric guitar amps might not have enough headroom and have too much distortion. A boutique amp specifically designed to be clean would be fine, as would an old tube PA amp if you can find one. I bought an old hi -fi discreet preamp / Ultra Linear amp combo at an auction.I made an op amp preamp it. Fantastic sound w acoustic electrified guitar, much more 3D sound stage . Ultra linears stay clean until they go crazy crunchy , Marshalls seem like a pathetic wannabe in comparison, so it was great w electric guitar as well.. Recapping is on my to do list. They still make them, but they're in the thousands for one
