Yeh that kinda stuff is what pushed me away from Starcraft 2. Worse, units like disruptors are super easy to use, but defending against them requires maximum attention. Blizzard never decided if they wanted a dumbed down, fun RTS or a hardcore micro RTS. The result was kinda hardcore, but in a very frustrating and dumb way. Real shame because theres also a lot of great stuff about the game.

Widow mines can accomplish the same thing. Burrow one and if youre lucky it can kill 20 zerglings or severely hurt a lot of zealots. Maru's play seemed off, he doesnt usually lose a lot of units to disruptor

You very rarely see Disruptors having so much impact on pro level. Maru was going through the narrowest choke point on the map, which made him unable to split properly. That's bad decision making.

@@igit_7296 I totally agree with you. Majority of his series were insane and we thought he'll dominate (which he did in the past). This what makes SC2 a very entertaining game because it will still depend on the actual game and strategies that you'll use if it's effective or not. I think when it comes to TVT, he's unstoppable. But for other races, that's the question. Overall, he's still an awesome player. And the long series are really exhausting too. So much strain. Mad respect to all the SC2 gamers. Always will be an SC2 fan.

SPOILER ALERT 28:18 is such a beautiful moment not only because of the distruptor shots, but because of the way Zoun planned them to hit exactly when the counterattack would pass through the tall grass at the center. A real pro touch. Loved the other games as well.

So he cant just give up the tournament before it started, its good prize money after all. Last game of the bo3 (SPOILERS): Maru - kills 9 probes with 4 hellions and medivac + a ton of lost mining. Maru - prepares for incoming 4 gate blink, defends only losing the bunker while Zoun loses 4+ stalkers and Maru loses 3 scvs. Terran is ahead in workers at 5:50 in game + mules, Maru is way ahead. 6:40 - Artosis : he must go disruptor, its a tough situation (another way to say, the unit is so broken it can make a comeback), Zoun doesn't even make a shield battery Maru - pushes at 7:40 has 50% more army supply than Zoun as Maru is cutting conners for a strong push. 7:56 disruptor hit behind the bushes... All that I said? Forget it. Toss is ahead, with a third and all the conners Maru cut were thrown to trash. By what? 1 second of looking away. This is so broken that I laugh at people saying: what a nice straaat by Zoun. No dude, you don't play this game. Its broken as hell. Protoss is the Affirmative Action race.

@@homielander5924 Yeah protoss was shit, when they had 4 gate openings that were free wins in the starting of starcraft 2 with kyaldarim amulet (2010), when even blizzard said that terran players needed "to kill toss before they get there" (2012), when only TY could win a TvP (2014) with blink all in era, when glaive adepts killed marines and scv with 2 shot, had 9 vision with shade, and forced terran into bunker every game (2015), when after the massive buffs they received in 3.8 patch (2017) that made oracles arrive before terran had 4 marines, +3 armor and attack started as soon as +1 weapon and armor for terran finished, marauder did 4 damage, and widow mines were revealed. Like 2018 and 2019 had a lot of protoss nerfs because they were so OP in 2017 that it took chrono nerf, stargate nerf, charge nerf, marauder buff, widow mine buff for the match up to be in the state it is: with 40% GM ladder of toss. ~Yeah, for years protoss were shit, sure.

Disruptors literally cannot be OP because the damage they do is completely based on the skill of the players. If Maru moved out of the way then they wouldn’t have hit. If count aimed them poorly they wouldn’t have hit. If Maru was looking at his army he could’ve picked up and moved, but he didn’t. Zoun was paying attention tho, so he managed to get Disruptor shots

Low effort AoE damage that wipes out entire armies and mineral lines and discontinuous unit movement through teleportation, recall, etc are the absolute worst aspects of SC2. It's still hard to control disruptors when you have a mix of units and shots like that are super rare. Maru was not paying attention (so his fault), if Maru saw that coming (or paying attention to his army while moving, he would have easily split his army).

Disruptors are probably one of the hardest unit to control in the whole game when you are controlling with your main army. A lot of pros mess up disruptor control in game.
