2021 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Revival (FLH) The first "Icons Collection" Motorcycle

Harley-Davidson Motor Company recently launch a new series of motorcycles to commemorate some of the historical, significant bikes of the past. The "Icons Collection" will be a limited run of retro style motorcycles that simulate different models of Harley-Davidson's past. The first bike to be available in this new series if the Electra Glide Revival (FLH) which is a throw back to the 1969 Electra Glide which was the first bike in H-D's history to feature the "Batwing" fairing from the factory.

Hey guys my dad wanted to make a correction. Around 1965 Honda came out with a 450 cc bike. It was black and chrome and known as the ugly duckling. Not saying that to hate, but it wasn’t known very well as not many were sold.

Haha it was nice hearing him talk about the 305 Hondas. I collect them and ride them. We used to ride them to Death Valley in the 90s as a club and had a blast. Super slow up the hills. The 450 Black Bomber was definitely not as well known as the 305s so I don't blame him for saying the 305 was the biggest. In many ways it kinda was. Enjoyed their stories.

@@MattLaidlaw it brought back memories of my dad. He love Harley. i remember the day he took me to our little Harley dealer and ordered a 100 for me, 125 for my brother and street bike for him. Sadly, he died in a car accident a week later and the oder was canceled. 42 years later and i haven't realized his dream he had for me, yet. One of these days, i will honor his dream. thanks for the reminder and memories.

@@wanaraz people don't realize that AMF saved Harley-Davidson Bangor Poncho with the only company that wanted Harley-Davidson and they had a real history of buying companies tearing down the premises taking a tax write-off and we would have Harley mugs and t-shirts and jackets and hats but no motorcycles the family told the court that they preferred AMF to get Harley over Bangor punta AMF put 10 million dollars into Harley-Davidson back when a million dollars was a lot of money Harley suffered a lot from employee sabotage you can't help disgruntled employee screwing shut up on the assembly line to get back at the company far as I'm concerned if they don't want to work there they should quit

I was too young for this bike (‘93) but what an absolutely beauty!! I just picked up my dyna lowrider 2017 in bonneville blue!!! With 1500 miles on it. Extremely cool the iconic collection. You just feel the vibe of what Harley is all about. Not one single other brand can bring these kind of feelings

Matt, I have to thank you for showcasing the FLH Revival. I haven't been keeping up with the latest and greatest that Harley is producing, but I do watch all your videos. When I saw the bike and heard the descriptions your grandfather and father gave, it reminded me of a picture I have of my Dad and I from 1972. It wasn't a 69 ElectraGlide, but it had the blue and white, buddy seat, and windshield instead of the fairing. This video and that memory prompted me to go out and get this bike. I am now the proud owner of #144/1500 I couldn't be happier. Keep up the great videos and thanks for bringing back such good memories.

When I turned 30 my dad gave me his 1981 Heritage which was a limited (784 units) production run. It was Harley’s first Heritage and the last year AMF had a stake in HD so it’s very special to me, a rare bike, and special to the few owners who still have one. I would love to see them bring back this bike as a reproduction, with a shovelhead of course; the best sounding engine ever made!!

Love this video Matt. It was really great getting to see your dad and grandpa on there. My dad has a 1968 Electra Glide. He had the all white seat and it was indeed a pogo stick. But that was the first motorcycle I ever got to ride on (I was 8). Really some of the best memories of my father. Thank you.

Don't care for the bike all that much. It's a pretty street glide with a tractor seat as far as I can tell.
