Well that’s proved this bike is definitely an adventure bike. I am trying to get back into riding after a 15 year lay over and thought I had my mind made up for the 300L Rally, but came across a 2023 yesterday and loved the way it felt and how comfortable it is even for a taller guy like me at 6’3” 220 lbs. now I’m torn about which way to go.

CB500X for comfort and carry. Crf300l if you want to do harder offroad. CB500X is still a handful vs a heavy dirtbike
@MotoRidesVietnam Жыл бұрын
The problem with CB500X off road is weight and ground clearance. It's a fun challenge for me as all my dirtbikes were broken down at the time. I was still coming home with a smile, but wouldn't like to do it full time. I did lay the bike down in sand and it's bloody hard to get back up at 220kg. I was able to take on some hills these days knowing I had a few friends to help me out of trouble if I lay the bike over again. Some of the hills I couldn't do. They were just too rough or too steep to dream of without destroying my bike. This is where a crf300l will shine in your case. Hope that helps 👍 I have the klx250 and 330cc which I much prefer for any off-road/dualsport action

@@MotoRidesVietnam I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my comment. I don’t think I will be hitting heavy trails, at least not until I get get extremely comfortable. I will have to drive about an hour on highways to get to a few large parks with dirt, and gravel roads which the 500x would be good for, but so would the 300L Rally. Anyway your channel is great and being able to see Vietnam through your camera lenses is a treat. Thanks

@@thegreenman2030 the CB500X is a great bike. I'm 6ft and 260lbs. So if you get it you'll want to do a few mods because they are uncomfortable for our height. You'll need a seat concepts tall seat, rox speed fx 1 1/2" bar-back risers for 1/8" bars (moves bar 1 1/2" up and 1 inch back or forward depending on how long your arms are) and also fit lowered footpegs. Until I did this I was so cramped up in a sports bike position and suffered bad knee and wrist pain. Now it's more like a dirtbike on steroids

I own an Lowrider Dyna, i have ridden choppers/cruisers since 2016, i am never gonna sell the Dyna, but i am now for the first time thinking of getting a second bike, this cb500x has spoken to me, almost 2 years ago i first saw it, but it keeps calling, i might be saving up for a second bike

hi !What is the rear tire size ?

Nice ride. I also would mount the Yss Rear Shock and front Suspension on my CB500x 2023. Is it a big difference between Rally Raid and Yss??
@MotoRidesVietnam Жыл бұрын
I think the Rally Raid is more offroad dedicated. The YSS is good for road and light offroad. It's way better than the stock rear shock
@chrishart8548 Жыл бұрын
@MotoRidesVietnam it seems anything is better than the stock rear shock. Least when it had the older style forks it seemed they were the weak link. Honda updated the forks and left the shock.

I agree... But it's considered normal in Vietnam. No waste management. Very slow development. I hate it. Embarrassing. Thinking 20-30 years before they work it out 😞

@@edwinfell7177I thought it was California...had no idea it was Vietnam. As far as trash, I see a lot of it where I hike in the Sierras. In March I came upon a group that was setting fire to an abandoned jeep. I kept out of sight and shot video and dozens of pics, including license plates. They left, I called in the fire department. They showed about 20 minutes later and watched it burn for about 10 minutes before they started to put it out. When the incident commander showed, I told him I was the one who called it in, and had the video and pics. He said it wasn't a big deal and walked off. Freaking sad.

@@weirdshibainuprobably a case of too much paperwork for him. Sad indeed. It's atrocious here though with the amount of rubbish burned off daily 😢
