Hoping to trade my Guzzi V7 in for a Forza 350 next week - I´m in the Spanish mountains so we have some really serious "hills" usually with a hairpin bend every hundred meters. Horses for courses, but I need a goat ! On the test ride it felt compact and easy to handle, while in the showroom it looked like a ruddy great boat with a sofa on top. It seems surprisingly powerful for a 350, I was considering a top box, but think I might prefer a wicker picnic basket for the shopping. It certainly seemed to fly up that hill, making this one of the more useful videos I´ve seen, cheers mate!

well the best news on that clip would be the bike was virtually brand new so i was just rolling the thottle on to pull those hills and not fully open and trying to impress. it will pull any hill i have here easy and there are quite a few plus some-one on the tube told be once its run in if i wanted even better torque -change the rollers to a lighter weight over-all its a prettygood set of wheels

In addition to having an engine with a broad range of power, the constantly changing gearing of the "automatic" transmission helps when climbing hills to keep the engine in its best torque range. That really gets the best out of the engine when pulling up hills as you have discovered.

i think so. pretty happy about being able to get un those hills with a great deal of pace. so i think...all good there

That bike handled that easily 👌

yeah i thought so. pulls hills as good as the better powered bikes i've been on. so i think all good there.

I changed the 23g rollers in my 2015 Forza to 19g sliders. Once you've broken in the engine, maybe try a set, it really frees up the engine to rev a bit higher at WOT. It won't affect top speed either. I got mine from Dr Pulley factory in Taiwan.

thanks -good idea. i will keep that mod idea in mind.

Nice one Warri. Picked up my new one today. Did a bit of bonding with it. Love it. Surprised how obedient the engine is for pickup etc. keep up the good productions. Merv in Oz (west side)

Good to hear. yeah i think its a fun set of wheels to ride about on. only drama at the moment is the 7 day lockdown so i'm hoping it doesn't go any further than that. rain has stopped and weather looks great and then a lockdown...bit of bad luck really

Can I ask where you are riding? I live in Bathurst and the roads look rather familiar, although likely there are many roads like that in country NSW. I get my Forza 350 on 27th October, delivered from Melbourne as I couldn't find a new 2021 model in NSW, and didn't want to wait for the 2022. I was encouraged by your comments on the suspension as that can be a pain on our country excuses for roads. Am looking forward to getting out and about. Thanks for your videos.

In and around Orange. there is really very little to complain about on the forza 350. it does everything pretty well and cruises at 100 kph with very little effort on the throttle. rear shocks could be improved for sure but as ive hit 750 klm on the clock i know for a fact that i have been on bike suspension far worse than whats on offer here. i am nowrunning the rear on its softest setting and its ok. over-all i think its a very good package

@@ridewithwarro Now have my Forza 350 registered and on road, but still getting used to the scooter feel after years on dual purpose bikes such as BMW R1200GS and Suzuki VStrom. Am impressed by its all round performance, especially the grunt, but the strangest aspect is getting used to the throttle just off idle where for nearly sixty years I could always feather the clutch. Getting there. I decided that I wouldn't wait to try the standard suspension and ordered YSS adjustable shocks ($750) at the same time as the scooter. Fitted easily and am glad that I did. Have softened the damping after the first 50 km ride, and expect that I will back it off it bit further yet, but new shocks have a degree of stiction that will wear off by 1000 kms. Fitted attachment for CTEK battery tender for winter, and will be adding a top box - just waiting for the Givi kit. Also added Grip Puppies to reduce stress on my hands, arthritis being the main reason why I decided to quit motorcycles and go for a scooter. After that, noting else that I can imagine. The Forza is so well kitted out that it will do everything that I could want, although fire trails and rough dirt roads are probably out.

@@waynetalbot7353 covered it well except you didn't mention the power screen...lol only real problem with this is its like a toy and one must play with it. i find i run it on high then drop to low to see how breezy that is and its back on high and dropped roughly n inch-and away i go...lol

May I ask how you found that test comparing Forza to Himalayan, I don't go off road and like the idea of the storage, screen. general comfort but wanted at least RE Himalayan performance.
@ridewithwarro3 жыл бұрын
well you know i have had a himalayan so i can tell you now the forza 350 would beat it on a sealed road run very easy. if you said which is the better as a duel purpose or just dirt road bike -well the himalayan would be the bike for you.

is that a hill?????... ah ah ah ah you have to climb from down to almost 2000 meters!!!
@ridewithwarro10 күн бұрын
yeah from memory o think it was roughly 1.6 klm from the bottom to the top. fair run and the forza was actually quicker than the xmax 300
