I am 6'3, and have to peek a bit to see to the back, but I have same issue in almost every non-enduro bike. Does not bother me. Monkey has 2 must fixes in my opinion. Stiffen the rear springs with adding a 1/2" thick spacer between the 2 washers below the springs and lower the front fender to keep bike and you a LOT cleaner and not get the bike showered by rocks. I lowered Mine with some flat aluminium bar of 4 X 25mm. Step 1: bend a upside down U shape from the bar that reaches just above the tire to Bolt the 2 front holes of fender on it and attach the U bar behind the plastic front shock rock shields to their installing brackets with a bit longer bolts and nuts on the back. Step 2: Add short slightly bended (to fit the curvature of fender) bar on top of the upside down U bar facing back with attaching it with single bolt to U shaped one to get the 3rd hole on fender attached. Step 3:Make short bar on right side to attach the side brake line hole to brake line strut. Step 4: (optional) Ziptie the now freely hanging brake hose to behind the right shock, with some piece of rubber between them for keeping it firmly in place. P. S. Do the mirrors vibrate more or less with the extenders? Mine vibrate a lot as stock.

@@TheJosephayal I drove a regular small 50cc monkey (well a china copy actually, but a real good copy) thru last winter here In Finland. 4000 miles. That was waaay smaller bike. Both are actually extremely comfortable and I can ride them for hours. The small monkey actually has even softer and more comfortable seat than the 125 Honda one, go figure. That 125:s seat is allready comfortable as f***. And In 125, the rear shocks bottom out very easily if stock (I added some bushings to fix that), no such problem actually on the 50cc monkey. I just tiltet the handlebars forward a bit on both of them. In 125 it is easy, they are adjustable, 50cc requires some fiddling. And I lowered the footpegs a bit on the 50cc, maybe a 1/2 inch, that was easy, they are a single assembly, that is just bolted on the bottom of the engine. Otherwise my knees tended to hit the handlebars in slow tight turns on both of them, or hit the handlebars if I tried to put my foot down quickly, not a good thing. Superbikes make my forearms hurt pretty fast, because I am too tall to lay on the tank. And I have a bad back, so customs are as awful too. Enduro/dualsport bikes are all right for me, comfortwise. I recommend both of them, to everyone tall as me. They are incredible fun bikes. Most fun bikes I have had in 35 years of riding. You ask why? I just actually figured out the answer few days ago... Because the handling is this totally awesome mix of super fun lightness and a some what scary and exciting wobbliness, expecially scary, if the speed is closing 50 in a twisty road. Same extiment (if not more) as you get doing 80-100 on the same road with a big bike.
