Hi - was hoping to send you pics with a pre-Christmas shot of the boat out in the St. Lawrence seaway before putting it away for the winter. (Our winters are cold and snowy, usually get around 8-10 feet of snow and temps go down to -30 Fahrenheit in Jan and Feb so not much boating happening here in the Ottawa region of Ontario Canada during the winter ! Sadly, the dealer only got delivery this week so the pics they sent me don't do it justice. Still - very excited for next Spring. Got the monaco blue, with a 90hp and upgraded stainless steel package and simrad over the lowrance, nice shorelander trailer to go with it. Be well. Tolly from Ottawa.

Your primer bulb is down underneath, in the bilge area, but it does have a primer bulb, I have the stingray 182, it has the primer bulb down underneath also.

BTW, the ski pylon has a sticker on it warning not to use it for tubing. I ignored the warning and when my tube submarined it bent the pole and thankfully didn’t break the boat.

Mine does not have a sticker that says not to use for tubing. But, it does have a sticker that warns of excessive weight...but that's common sense.

Got to go the extra mile, squeeze your budget and get the 188 OB 18.10 ft because it's rated @ 200HP and has an extra ft on beam plus extra 14 gal of fuel. 185 is 19.2 ft but rated @ 115 HP max.

We just ordered the 2022 version an your detailed review help us out huge. We got the Yamaha 115 but not the Vmax. What to speed are you getting out of yours? How long does a full tank last you? Any good or bad about the boat since you have had it for abit? Great video

Usually around 44 to 45 mph is the max we get at it with two people on board. And everything is working just fine after 1 year. Still love it!

Yeah we are! We are in Cape Coral. She does great out in all of the canals and in the Gulf. Of course, we don't take her too far off shore, but for cruising around over by Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Captiva, Boca Grande, Pine Island, etc it does everything we wanted. We've pulled my nieces and nephew on the tube a few times and it handles just fine. Plenty of power and top speed in the mid 40's.

I have cable steering on my 2020 model. It’s a little stiff and there’s a little play in the motor. It doesn’t really bother me cuz I mostly just cruise in the boat.

We ordered ours with the hydraulic steering and it is much more responsive at low speeds. Top speed is 45-46 mph (2 people on board)...we've had it there a few times already.

Hi Craig great vid. I’m in the process of buying my own 185. Would to chat/ FaceTime. I want to change the gas tank. The 185 has 22 gal and the next model (the 205) has a 45 gal capacity Is there more space in the back of the boat to swap out the current gas tank

Oh wow...great question. There is quite a bit of space back there but I don't know if there is enough space to double the size of the tank. Also, that would also add a LOT of weight in fuel so you should check with the manufacturer to see if the boat can handle that load. the 205 is a larger boat so if you want that large of a fuel tank, it's best to just buy the bigger boat that is designed to withhold the fuel capacity you desire.

Just wondering if you had a full list? While I've looked on the website, I feel it isn't too clear on what you're selecting for the price. I like what I see in yours, so just trying to get an idea on what's standard versus options. And of course, the resulting price. Thanks.

3 months but we ordered ours at the beginning of the window between the 2020 and 2021 model years and Summer of 2020 (COVID-19).

Those were part of the package that we ordered on the Hurricane website. We special ordered the boat and the website provides all of those options to choose from and you can simply select what you want. We chose the stainless steel package which includes the stainless steel cup holders you mentioned. And the floor mats are also an option you can choose.

How do you remove the ski pole to cover it

You don't. The pole is permanent. The boat cover stops just in front of that and snaps down. There is no need to remove it.

They definitely stole your ss prop off the boat and gave you an aluminum prop. Either they are thiefs or you live in a shallow water area.

First, no one stole anything off my boat, I custom ordered it as you see it here. Second, we live in SW Florida around shallow water and stainless steel props are not good to have in shallow water. Third, you just made yourself look like a jackass by being so rude.
