Ordered a 22 150i yesterday in Grandby Colorado, looks like I picked out a good bike!

What are your thoughts now you have had it for a while ?

@@DMobley232 Actually, I just traded it in on a new 22 yz250fx. The 22 te150i ran perfectly until 17hrs. I was outside of the 30 day warranty, 2 dealerships 800.00 in labor and parts, still ran horribly. Symptoms similar to a bad ccp sensor. My thoughts are, if you can afford to have 2 bikes, make the tpi bike your second bike. I really enjoyed the 2 stroke bottom end power delivery, and the overall light weight of the te150i. But after the bike was disassembled twice by two dealerships over 5 months, it looked ragged out and still ran horribly. I might try husky or ktm after the next generation tbi premix versions prove their reliability. Dirt bike channel has a video about his KTM 300 TPI that the dealers could not correct either.

@@Dat_Sun that sucks sorry to hear that. I just sold my 2019 300 tpi and looking at a 2020 150i and a 2021 150 xcw tpi just hoping I don’t have same issues you had on the 22.

@@DMobley232 I don't think it's common, but it happens and the dealerships mechanics don't seem to be 100% trained on tpi diagnostics imo.

Would this be a good bike for racing motocross and enduro races or would the tc 125 be better?

TC would be better for moto due to gearing ratio but this would work great for enduro.

Just got one last night and i love it, i was riding a ktm 250 and it was a bit powerful and heavy for me and this 150 is amazing for me its only a few pounds lighter but it makes a world of difference it literally feels like a mountain bike, with a little momentum it is weightless through the air on little jumps and whoop sections and extremely nimble in the woods, im super short 5’5 120 pounds and its got loads of power for me still you just have to use the power band more and shift up a gear compared to a 250 but still competes with a bigger bore bike

Is there any specific oil you should use when filling it up? Motul 800 would be okay? What’s the manual say to use?

Husqvarna recommends Motorex Cross Power 2T. In the manual the biggest thing that they stress is that you use an oil that is safe for oil injection systems and is fully synthetic. Some 2 stroke premix oils will be too thick so confirm that it says on the bottle that it is oil injection system compatible. We have used the Motorex oil and it works great.

The TE 150i would make a great bike for off-road style races like GNCC.

It is still pretty capable to do track riding but you will find the suspension on the soft side and may want to change your gearing to get a bit more snap. As for sticking a timbersled on there, We haven't got much knowledge of people doing that to a small bore bike like this but we would have to assume that it would be pretty hard for that small, but mighty, motor to do well on a timbersled. Timbersleds and deep snow eat up power fast so you would likely need a bigger motor for that type of use.

As a street rider wanting to get back into the dirt biking i did as a kid, I'm shocked at the price of these. over 9 grand for a ONE FIFTY?? All my street bikes i've ever owned cost less than 7k and we're much faster. Looks like i'll be looking into the used market.

Husky and KTM are both on the high end. But they are more race ready bikes. If you want cheap, go Honda.

Coming off a 2007 rm125 I'm 14 and live in the countryside and ride trails and just cruise on roads would this be a fir for me

Can I please know how tall trent is and leg inseam? Im considering this bike, but that bike sure looks tall

The Camera angle and Trent being behind the bike makes the bike look bigger than it is. Trent is 5' 8" and is on his tippy toes to touch on both sides when on the bike. Not sure on the inseam yet. Will check on that and let you know.

If you got a 2021 model you can find info about the cold start button on page 22 of your manual. I will try to describe it though. If you are sitting on the bike it will be on the left side. on the throttle body there is a black button. You pull that out and to keep it out you turn it a 1/4 turn in either direction. To return it to normal running you turn another 1/4 turn, in either direction, and it will snap back in.
