Been watching a lot of dyno pulls from most manufacturers. I understand heat cycling on the dyno etc., but break in periods are supposed to be for all components, breaks, tires, bearings, chains, sprockets etc. Whether that affects ultimate HP can be argued but establishes that all mating components are wore in properly. Years ago the cycle magazines would publish quarter mile and roll on times. I would rather see these machines taken to the track totally stock ( tire air pressures etc.) and run to establish the trap speeds. Kawasaki probably spent more money on engineering the fairing for down force for Johnny Rae in WSBK which how many of us would actually feel that than squeezing out 200 HP. But I do love the color.

Thanks for being straight up with the dyno readings, I’ve got my bike booked in to have ECU flash in a few months time and I’m continually hearing the same thing about accurate readings which slightly concerns me as it’s all about money and affordability for me as it is for most folks so you’re just hoping you get what you pay for.

DYNO is a tool. Really the only numbers that's important is your base number and the number you finish with after your tune(flash). For one, DIN vs SAE vs STD is not a radical change. We now use DIN for shop projects because it's the standard most of the people we work with in Europe are using.
