I just got a Kia K5 and I love it!! I've had 4 Mercedes over the past 34 years, one thing I won't miss is the high price of maintaining them. So let's review great warranty, less money, 5 star crash reviews, loads of safety tech, great aggressive styling and a great performing car. Don't get me wrong, I still love Mercedes, but I don't feel like I've compromised on my choice, I just wont miss spending thousands more for features found on my K5

Maybe it was a glitch in the Sport mode programming of the CLA, but it was quite obvious the shifts were not even close to the same as the normal mode of the 1st run. The tachometer and engine sound will tell anyone that. The K5 performance is still impressive for a base engine. The GT is way better though.

Why first run Merc was shifting gears on 6k rpm and second race on 4.5k from 3gear to 4th. Come on man we are not blind...3rd run same thing- letting off gas paddle and transmission shifts on 4k rpm. So only first run is objective.

The only problem with this is there not really equal cars. Kia made the k5 in a different bracket... now, if you want to match price point, give the KIA the GT version and it would smoke that Mercedes. After all, the CLA is $10,000 USD more then the K5. But never the less, that's the problem with so many trim levels and different varities.

as a cla owner i can tell you that this Video is probably fake..sport Mode does not give you more Performance, it justs changes the gearbox shifting.. btw, you clearly see that kinda stopped the acceleration process at some point.. its a bit misleading.. and its not fair to fight a 222 hp against a 190 hp one.. its clear who would win.. the cla is an aswome car, but im sure the kia is a nice car too.. dont fight over car Brands please its fuckin childish..

Pushing a sport button does not magically provide more power! Sport button can help with throttle reposnse and shifting ans NEVER compensate HP deficit! Guess what Merc also has a sport mode! This is a fake advertisement for Kia and honestly it is very shameful

This has to be a GT 290hp, not a GT Line 180hp. The cla250, of which I owned stock runs a 1/4 of 14.2 & 60 in 6.1. The GT line runs 15.2 & 7 flat. I think is was debagged, even if he was with tune still no contest, cla250 60 is slow, but has great top end. The only thing getting around that cla250 is a GT with a 14 flat.

The 2022 Kia k5 gt line with the 1.6 liter turbo fwd. Eats up non turbo 2.5 liter cars all day long. I wanted a car that was fast, had great fuel economy and was roomy. There is enough space in the trunk to fit three 200 pound humans in the truck. This is my mid life crisis car and hasn't disappointed. So far my car has eaten a 2.5 liter Nissan Altima, Honda Civic SI turbo. Subaru Impreza 2.5 liter non turbo. Dodge neon srt4, Audi A4 I used to street race when I was younger and it's nice to see a car that self drives and with smart technology, performance and 38 to 42 on the freeway. Wow Just to bad I bought the last one on the lot at my local dealer. Next person will have to order it and wait up to six months. Good luck! If you do not like paying for premium fuel. Then this car is not for you. 90 Octane and above is a must. Sport mode is fun, buy will get you in trouble with the police. Also if your going to slam that pedal to floor. You better make sure your on a straight line. Got mine for $33,000. Great price and great performance. Thank you kia for providing another great experience. This is my third kia.

Not bad, considering the GT-Line is just the 'cosmetic' version of the actual Kia K5 GT and is ~$10,000 cheaper than the Mercedes CLA 250. A proper comparison would be the $36,000 K5 GT or the Kia Stinger -- though I suspect those would absolutely smoke the Mercedes CLA.

I have an 2019 sx Kia Optima and in sport mode I leave everybody behind....and in the highway even though you.driving at 80 miles you hit the pedal and still feel the pull. It lauches really fast...just be aware it swallows a lot of gas ⛽in spot mode.
