2021 Kia Seltos Review | A Smaller Kia Telluride

In this video I'll go for a test drive & completely review the NEW 2021 Kia Seltos! I'll test out acceleration, braking, steering feel, cargo space, rear legroom, exhaust clip & much more!

I live in Mechanicsburg, and had a 2016 Kia Soul I recently took to Fred Beans for an oil change (with zero intention of replacing). While waiting around, I decided to walk through the showroom. Saw the Seltos, which I didn't know existed, and about a week later, ended up replacing the Soul with one. The Seltos had the one thing I thought the Soul was missing, decent cargo space. Unfortunately, Bean didn't have what I wanted in stock (an 'S' trim with FWD in Blue or Orange), so I ended up buying in Maryland (an orange one, that I like better than the blue (my last two cars were blue, and I needed a change.) So far, love the car, though I've only had it for just about three weeks. Rides a bit better than the Soul, and fits my golf clubs with all seats up! The Seltos is roomier than the Kona (and pretty much all the sub-compact SUVs), has way more cargo space, and the FWD gets a better gas mileage rating, so there was really no competition for me.

@@2004cyrus For me, the only real competition was the Subaru Crosstrek, which my wife owns in a loaded 2018 model. I'd say the Crosstrek rides a bit smoother, and it's very similar size-wise, with perhaps a bit less cargo space. But it's a little more expensive and doesn't carry the Kia warranty. If you aren't quite sold on the Seltos yet, I'd also test drive the Crosstrek. Of course, right now, you might not even be able to buy a car.

This Kia Seltos sounds great only thing missing is a double sun roof like in the Mitsubishi eclipse cross, but not important. This Kia is near perfect. Gold Pony is the best.

Helpful review. Adds a couple points to my study of this my future car (May delivery?). I opted for the 2.0 non-turbo as it reflects the vast majority of my driving, and I wish more of these-type reviews looked at both engines.

WTFx not sure what you mean but I bought a Volkswagen Tiguan - it only has heated seats. I’m only saying I think Kias mission was to stay under $30k and offer value. When manufacturers start offering all those little luxuries then the value disappears for the customer and they cannibalizes sales for their more profitable higher end models. Make sense now ?
