@MARCUSAURELIUS i have not ridden the kx 450 i just know that if you want to get a Japanese manufactured 450 they have the best power for beginner 450 riders. but i do not ride moto more of a woods rider and am very new to the 4 stroke world.

I’ve had Kawasaki Honda and Yamaha. The Yamaha is the most reliable and valves last way longer than any bike. The Kawasaki would come 2nd in the valves department Honda I was and friends were lucky to get to 40 hours without shimming them. I just tore down another Yamaha yz250f with 151 hours and the valves were still in spec and not even shimmed. Power the Yamaha with the tuning app is amazing! You can keep the bike completely stock and can tune it to what you like and turn it into an arm jerker. Suspension also amazing. Also my friends 2019 Kawasaki 450 had 20hours tore apart the cylinder to put a high compression piston In it cause he didn’t like the power. Good thing he tore it apart cause the cylinder already was showing piston slap. And ran into ppl that already blew them up so I’m thinking some of the tolerances were off.

Tough sell when he admits it's exactly like the last model..hope nobody waste money to "upgrade" just take half that money and put it into your current bike I refuse to buy new bikes every year I'm on the 2020 crf and on plan to run it till the wheels fall off
