2021 Lexus IS300/350 F Sport Review

With a nimble size and concentration of driving dynamics, The premium sport compact is one of my favourite classes of vehicles. Cars in this class include the popular BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, Cadillac CT5 and this new Lexus IS350 AWD F Sport.

I'd take this over everything in its class, it's stunning smooth , reliable and 311 Hp is more than enough power for the road.

So here in Australia the IS that I've just reviewed and driven actually came with so many features standard, such as 10.3 inch screen standard on ALL models. Also the F-Sport comes with the 360 degree camera standard, but no wood (no option for it) and no sunroof ($5k option which includes the ML Sound System). Great video and Awesome Car!!

At the moment performance is more than enough for the road. If it had 350hp and 450nm of Torque it would be perfect. I'd buy this. Its beautiful in and out!

Next generation should have 350hp but less torque due to it's NA design.

I feel like if Lexus was going to recycle this car due to the fact that mid and compact crossover are dominating the market and small sedans aren’t selling well(except 3 series).....then they should have redesigned the interior and get 3 more years out this car. In saving money this way, they might have actually hurt themselves, which is what they are trying to avoid by not building a new car from the ground up. People aren’t going to blink and eye at a second refresh when they can go get a 3 series it and preowned 3 series for a damn good price. Not to mention that the 3 series is freaking great(when new). BMW has one the best infotainment, efficient engines and a coveted badge to go along. What they should have done is creat a new car that takes everything the 3 series has to offer and add more.....beat the 3 series at its own game if you really want to keep this car alive. They could keep up with the 5 so they dropped the GS....the IS will be next to die.

Actually, a lot of peoples are enjoying this car. The lighter drivetrain is a real appreciated upgrade for those that are liking to drive, and not simply be driven. Also, the next gen of this car is planned, and the more powerful inline 6 with a good amount of torque will meet an even lighter chassis. So they are doing exactly everything right, but for the long run.

I like the new design/panels but this car (3rd Gen) has pretty much remained unchanged since mid-2013.........like this same car was out since the iPhone 5S lmao but I guess this is how Lexus cycles work

Don't forget AWD models have only 6 speed while RWD have 8 speed. This is very annoying and stupid considering that at NE U.S. almost all ISs at dealerships are AWD. Meaning all ISs here are dumbed down and have horrible gearing and louder cruising noise.

They do have the GA-L platform which the current Crown and Mirai are based on. I wonder why they don't use it for the IS.
