This is the most comprehensive tutorial I've ever seen for the LS 500. I have a 2021 LS, which I've had for a little over a year. I purchased it CPO. The detail of how to perform certain functions and find and configure certain options/accessories in the video is done so well that I keep coming back to it routinely. Thank you for making this tutorial on the LS 500. Your presentation skills are very professional and upbeat which I appreciate. Hi! I'm sorry, I'm not able to work on the 22 LS right now, but I'm happy help. The small dots on the map are called Route Trace. From the map screen, click on the Map Options icon (small rectangle grid icon) > select Route Trace > select to turn it off > then select NO to save what has been previously recorded and it will clear your map screen. Map updates are usually done through your Lexus service department if they are not available through the Lexus app under the Subscriptions tab for a month service. I hope this helps get you the information much sooner than the next time I will be able to film on the 22 LS again. Thanks for your understanding.

Wow, this is a really good tutorial. I've had an LS500 on order since December 2020, and it is scheduled to arrive around the end of June. I will definitely be coming back to this video to make driver adjustments. One question I had was on the auto windshield wiper sensitivity. Which way do you adjust the dial to increase the rain sensitivity vs. decrease the sensitivity? This has always been confusing to me, and I've owned LS's since 2002. And really I can't thank you enough for making these tutorials. They are VERY helpful. And the index makes so easy to jump to the areas you want to learn more about. BRAVO.

When you twist the dial to the top it increases the sensitivity, meaning it will respond even with less water. When the dial is twisted all the way to the bottom, it is the least sensitive so it will take more water to get them going. Hope this helps it make smore sense. I see there are two apps 1) Lexus app 2) Lexus Enform app suite. What’s the difference and do we need both?

Hi Lidia, On 2021 LS you just need the Lexus App, it now includes all of the compatible Lexus App Suite content for that vehicle. On some older model Lexus vehicles the Lexus Enform App Suite content is separate and both apps are needed if the driver wants to use apps from the app suite. If you have the 21 LS and the Lexus app logged in on your phone with your Enform account set up and your VIN added, just scroll down until your see the apps that can be linked. (It varies by model) Then you can launch the apps on the car. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for tuning in!

I recently purchased a 2021 CPO LS 500 executive package. In some videos I see that the passenger dash lights up when starting the car. Mine does not. Should all 2021s passenger side dashboards light up? I don’t want to take it in for service if the feature is not expected.

Hi! There are different packages for the trims available on the LS model. I have seen a subtle light effect on the dash. I'm not sure if that is part of a package, but I would check the following before brining it in: 1. Make sure door mode is turned on for the interior (dome) lights. 2. Make sure the Brightness for the instrument panel is set to a brighter light, incase that it impacting the light across the dash. 3. Check the window sticker for information about the interior trim level and see if that is included. Here's what the brochure says about the "AMBIENT ILLUMINATION Inspired by the warm glow of traditional Japanese and on lanterns and the welcoming spirit of omotenashi, soft LED illumination warmly invites the driver and passengers into the cabin. Hi Zachary, Congratulations on your new ES300h! In my experience, Voice Commands and maximizing what you can do with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto are the best of the best! Also if you have a vehicle with Navigation, then also take advantage of the Weather feature. My current Lexus is non-NAV and that is the feature I really miss. With a hybrid, if you want to work on getting the most out of your fuel economy: use the MID to view the Energy Monitor screen. You can learn how to manage you accelerator and braking habits to get better mileage. Hi! I've been checking in the Navigation Owner's Manual for you, but the latitude longitude destination search was removed starting on the Generation 10 NAV system. The Gen 10 NAV was on the LS in 2020, 2021 & 2022. Then it jumped to the new Gen 12 Lexus Interface system and I have not seen latitude longitude used as a search method yet on the new system. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you. One option would be to save a location while you are there. Just click on the map and then select Save. It won't help you for the first trip, but would be nice for future trips. Thanks for checking in.

@@amrbasri68 just incase I am not available for the rest of the day, you are looking for a button with an "A" in a circle. Turn on the car and then press that button. Many of the Lexus models have the button down near the gear shifter. Some have it up on the left hand side of the dash. I hope this helps.

Great overview of everything, but I was hoping to see some more info about LSS+ A in this and how it handles curves as there is a lot of conflicting info on whether or not the 2018 and 2019 Lexus LS have the curve speed reduction feature found in the 2020 models

Hi Michael, Unfortunately we didn't receive many LSs with the optional LSS+A, but Curve Speed Reduction was not on the 2018 or 2019 versions. It was added in 2020. I hope this helps. 22:41 in the event that the car might not turn on due to a dead battery and i want to put the transmission into neutral to push it, but i cant - due to the gear shifter being electeonic, how do i then put the transmission into neutral?

Hi! This is such a great question! I wish I had a better answer for you. Apparently with the electronic shifter there is not a way to force it into neutral without some power to the accessory battery. After researching this for a Guest, I was told that the tow truck drivers have to use a flatbed tow truck to lift the entire vehicle off the ground and transport it without causing damage. Or specialized equipment such as dollies or skates may be used to help move the vehicle on to the tow truck if necessary.

Wow. Its part of the reason why of it aint brokezdont fix it. Lexus has alwayshad a gated and cable shifter. At least with that, you can put the car onto the on setting without starting the engine, andthenyoucan putthe shifter onto the neutral setting. But its better than no way. Tnks for the research. Hi Nicky, Thanks for tuning in. Unfortunately we don't have a package called the presidential package here in the US and there is not currently an individual option for DVD players. There is an Executive Package that includes: - Four-zone Climate Concierge with climate-comfort front and outboard rear seats, infrared sensors and air purifier - Semi-aniline perforated leather-trimmed interior - 28-way power-adjustable front seats with multifunction massage and cushion extender - Semi-aniline leather-trimmed door armrests - Ultrasuede®* headliner and sun visors - Power front seatbelt buckles - Wood and semi-aniline leather-trimmed center console - Remote adjustment for passenger seat - Semi-aniline leather-trimmed rear armrest with 7.0-in touchscreen controller - Rear-seat knee airbags* (SRS) - Power side-window sunshades - Butterfly power-retractable front headrests - Right-rear power recliner with sliding ottoman* and multifunction shiatsu massager - 22-way power-adjustable rear seats with butterfly headrests, memory and multifunction massage with heat If you have the option of DVD screens in the rear, the main menu will show you all that can be accessed. Usually they play DVDs, audio, and some connect to external devices. It would be best to check with a dealership who has access to a vehicle with that equipment to get accurate information. Hello. I have a question that nobody seems to be able to answer. My new LS has the HUD. On page 89 of the owner's manual it shows the HUD with outside temperature display (Letter D in the illustration). For some reason the outside temp doesn't display in my HUD. The only thing I can think of is that the temp display gets deleted when you change the settings to show ECO drive info vs. gear position (which I did change). Any thoughts? Thank you!!

Hi Jeffrey, Your question inspired a test drive and some serious research in one of our LS demo vehicles. Love that car! This is a tricky one. The Owner's Manual does not give specifics about it and I have looked in the manuals on line that the Tech use with no luck on a customization for the Temperature readout in the HUD. Here's what I have found. The Temperature is in it's own field on the LS HUD so the other items that can show will not override it. The temperature gauge comes on at engine start up and stays on for approximately 10 seconds. If the "Low" image comes on in extremely cold weather (below 37 degrees F) it will flash, but will also turn off after 10 seconds. If the temperature then warms up to 41 degrees F or higher the Temperature will come back on to show the increase. (Page 90 in the OM) However there is no other mention of the temperature gauge showing other temperature changes throughout the drive. If at any point I am able to get more information for you, I will comment back here with an update. If you happen to notice other situations that trigger it to come back on after the initial startup, I would love to know. I'm always looking to learn more and if you have this question, chances are, other people will also. Thanks again for being here and for your great comment!

Thank you for looking into this one. It’s a minor issue and more of a curiosity at this point as the outside temp display can be found on the dash anyway. I did see the part in the owner’s manual about cold outside temps, but it’s summer time in Florida so that shouldn’t be an issue. I’m wondering if it could be an error in the owner’s manual?? Anyway. It's rare that we get to be in LSs for extended periods of time and none of us realized the temp stopped showing so quickly. Always learning! I have some contacts at the Lexus college and will be picking their brains the next time I'm in touch with them. I'll keep you posted :) We are now both very curious!

Thanks again for this video which explains in great details and clarity most of the features of the LS. I have just gotten my 2022 LS a few days ago. Somehow I can’t get the speed limit from RSA to show up on the Multi Information Display. It shows on the navigation system center console display though. I have tried many different things on the set up sections (all required settings are ON), even tried to see if there are any software updates. Two visits to two different Lexus service centers didn’t yield any answer too. Hopefully you can help me clear this mystery. Thank you.

Hi Prett, I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble getting the speed limit to show up on the MID. Do you have a HUD on your LS? Is the image showing there? It is usually only triggered when the system sees the sign and you are exceeding the recognized speed. Things to triple check: - On the map: open the Map Info by clicking on the icon on the left. Make sure speed limit information is turned on. - In the MID: open the additional settings to customize the RSA (not just the on/off selection). Make sure that you have selected for Excess Speed notifications and then Visual or Visual and Audible notification for how you want to be notified. Then select the parameters for when to be notified 1, 3 or 5 miles over the speed limit. Hopefully one of those settings was accidentally turned off and these steps will help you get it sorted out. All the best!

Thank you for the reply. I did all these on the settings. I am sure I have exceeded speed limits by 5 mph at times but nothing was displayed. I was wondering if this is a thing of the 2022 LS, or if I am missing something. Speed limit sign shows up on Navigation (cloud data?) but not on MID (camera capture).

@@pretthome Hmmm. I'll check on this and see if I can learn more. When you brought it to the dealerships, did they open a ticket and test drive it for you? That may be the next step. Or have them drive another LS with the same setup and see if they get the same results. That might helps as well. I'll let you know if I find out any other tips for you.

One of them test drove it and couldn’t find a solution, but I did not ask for further investigation - hoping the issue will go away on its own. No luck so far. Appreciate if you can see if any of your 21/22 LS’s behave the same way. I might bring it back to the dealership when I have a chance.
