@@revanevan Cool video. I used to subscribe to MM&FF magazine back when it first came out. Great to see 5.0s run high 11's from the factory. 👍 🏁 Back 25 years ago it took lots of bolt ons and 3.73 gears with drag tires to run high 11's. Tesla Plaid almost 8.99 at 150+ from the factory. 😀

People fail to realize just how fast new cars really are, even base models. Often the 4 cyl. turbos and v6's in your average car run high 13's to low 14's stock. The truck in my avatar ran 12.0's 10 years ago and was a gutted shell that you wouldnt want to drive more than a few hours. Today you can buy a slightly optioned stock car thats faster.

@carculturenation2166 3 жыл бұрын
@@jamiebaker5358 they are basically the same car. So what more do you expect from a 2019 gt and 2021 mach 1 both with coyotes? Only thing they really change from the gt to the mach 1 is the manual transmission options the exhaust the gt350 intake and suspension. Basically it's a little extra hp from the gt350 intake. So they are basically get of rid of the gt350 and pp2 to merge it into one car. So your 11.78 and this car is gonna do that and a little faster. So I dont see how you are saying it isn't that impressive. That's like saying your gt isn't impressive. With weather it's going to be a little bit quicker than a gt. But this is the handling mustang now. One you can take out with the better manual or 10r80 and enjoy on a road course and drive home.

Mach 1s also have oil, tranny and rear diff cooler and the rear end from the GT500. Not even close to the stock GT my friend. Pretty much could slap a Snake on this car. This coming from a Mach 1 owner. Also the power was not rated correctly for the Mach 1s. I’ve seen guys dyno slightly over 500hp with just a resonator delete and new intake filter. Why are people interested in this? EV's are quicker! Simple that’s it!. But if you are looking for your connection to the road and the roar of an engine in your ears, you drive a mustang or muscle car! History has man/women eager to drive anything that makes a noise and goes fast, Adrenalin pumps and it’s a thrill. This will be lost. Put simply. EV's are the future, but your connection to the road will be lost, you might as well sit in the back and be chauffeur driven. In years to come, cars like this will be lost for ever, enjoy them while we can. Just imagine going to watch a car race in the future? What will you hear and smell?? Drop the Tesla vibes concentrate on these amazing cars!! I would rather watch these V8's than anything else Any competition should include the 3 points system and in this order. 1. Noise: (has to sound great) the thrill! Feeling the engine rock 2. Handling: hitting cnrs at unbelievable speeds and listening to the engine scream as the wheels lose traction 3. Speed: fast ( matched with screaming v8) stereo

Most EVs are very limited on top end performance, with the exception of a few models, not sure why this is. I know it’s a software fix like most ICE cars, but one can’t help but wonder what the actual capabilities are before the motor actually burns itself out or the battery overheats. I wonder if they’ve tested them to the max before determining where to govern them.
@EngineeringPerspective
@EngineeringPerspective 3 жыл бұрын
It’s because EVs use a single speed gearbox, at high speeds, electric motors start reducing power and can’t shift back into the powerband like ICE. A multi speed gearbox on EVs would solve that issue, but most don’t want to add the extra cost /complexity to an EV. It’s effectively “good enough” for most buyers as it is

@@revanevan not impressive against a family sedan. That's my point. If you're trying to eek out a win against a family hauler, the cache of a fast muscle is quickly diminished and almost laughable. Love the content overall... These new cars though.. makes drag racing look like it takes no skill and just anyone can spend a ton of money and run fast now... Very similar to my old drag race days in early 2000s ( before kids ) to when the old guys would show up with brand new corvettes and just put it in D and slam the pedal... Comps do everything now ... and Auto trans does the rest.

You still have to understand drag racing to get the best ET from the vehicle, but yes, they are much easier to drive compared to older cars.

Again , if you see a 70 MACH 1 you dont have to go looking for the MACH1 badge to know what it is . They need to calm down on the badge in your face thing there a little . OR are they afraid the sticker upgrade isnt enough to sell the car as a MACH ? Put the damn badge down where its supposed to be people !!
@raionshishi8290
@raionshishi8290 3 жыл бұрын
I think you need to calm down with the conspiracy theories and all the stupid badging complaints as if the badge ruins the car or is such a big deal. It gives the car more character and makes it more unique and special, every car has their badge nowadays, oh and please don't act like people in the past could actually tell a Mustang and a Mach 1 from a mile away, anyone that claims that is talking out their ass.
