You actually rub the oil on the oil filter rubber seal so that it doesn’t stick and tear up the seal when you screw it back on.

great in depth video but just wondering why are you doing a service at 10 hours mercury does not have a break in period and nothing needs to be done until 100 hours

Just put a filter magnet on the oil filter an youll save $$$ on oil an filter thats exactly how i broke my 2020 merc 150 in did the oil chsnge the next year tho

Not sayin the magnet is a bad idea but...oIl is so cheap compared to an engine, why would you avoid the 10 hour break in oil change?
