2021 MG ZST Review

2021 MG ZST Review,
The New MG ZST is similar in looks to the normal ZS but has some interesting features. It has all the latest safety features like lane departure warning, radar cruise control along with some nicer Headlights with Led Day time running lights and sporty badging and chrome exhaust covers. Inside we get the Red Leather Stitching and the MG Stitching on the headrests. Digital dash and a nice sporty steering wheel. Definitely a nice upgrade from the regular one. The Engine is a new 1.3 litre turbo which produces 115kw and 230nm of torque and is mated to a 6 speed automatic.

Buying an MG supports the Communist Party of China. People that care about their own economy buy products from people/companies/brands that are designed and/or developed and/or researched in their own country or ally country. The people that work for those local companies, in free democracies, then buy other products developed in their own country or ally country and that keeps their families and friends in work and making money. Stupid people buy direct from Chinese brands and send every single penny out of their country and destroy their own economy and eventually their entire free society because they are cretins and/or greedy and/or want things they can't afford, and rather than wait and save. They are happy to screw over their entire economy in the pursuit of self-gratification, selfishness, and ego. Buying CCP owned brands and products fuels Chinese R&D and weakens free economies. Your children and your children's children will suffer as a result of your choices. This is not hyperbole, it is fact.

12:15 that switch is to hold the brakes instead of keep your foot on the brake pedals at red traffic light for example, it disengages once you press the accelerator pedal

I am really considering the brand MG but certainly not sure about its gear box & engine performance, what i have heard from few of the first hand users here in Dubai is that it has a gear box problem as well as well engine too as they are not really reliable, one user also talked about that the car does not started all of a sudden in the morning & even the agency/showroom could not diagnose the problem, lastly any one can share his/her feedback about AC performance as temperature here in GULF goes as high as 50 degrees sometimes,

Hi Shakeel, Thanks for the feedback. Here in Australia the current MG Brand had been around for a few years now and I haven't heard of any major problems with the gearbox and engine here in Australia. MG don't make performance cars but the cars they bring out here are more for economical drives here in Australia. I would love to see a full on sports car from MG in the future. Here in Australia our weather conditions get to around 45 degrees Celsius and the air conditioning seems to work a treat so I would think you should be ok over in Dubai. Hope this helps.

Just a heads up, the fancy chrome exhaust covers are fake but they do look good. We will be buying one in a few months, just waiting for our new home to be built so we have somewhere to park it.

How is the fuel consumption? Is it thirsty?

Daniel, It will sip around 7.1 litres but depends on driving. In real world maybe 7.5-8 litres so not that thirsty.

@@agautomotive I'm just concerned as it takes 95 RON & the consumption seems higher then other cars in the range.

@@danielsmyth7878 I understand. I think for the price and the warranty of 7 years is great but ultimately it comes down to what you want and feel comfortable in and what you want to pay. Other cars in the same class maybe higher in real world figures as well as weight as well so check that out. So go and test drive a few. Even ask about taking one for a few hours or even over night if the dealer is happy to and go from there.

Hi Tim, Most cars now come with either LED Day time running lights or LED Headlights so maybe it is something not as significant to the rest of the car.
