I'm cool with playing JJ. But I wish it wasn't so haphazard. Give him the keys for a few whole drives per game to see what he can really do, but don't pull your starter for random plays in the middle of drives. Give each guy the chance to get in rhythm whenever he's on the field.

@Jam-City3 жыл бұрын
Good game. I wish the play selection was much better. These games wouldn't be this close. If Harbaugh would just take his hands off the offensive philosophy more, Josh Gattis could do his thing. Could easily take more deep shots. Sainstril #5 was able to smoke that DB EVERY time. I felt bad for Coach Frost. He look broken and about to cry. Like maybe he knew it was over at Nebraska....maybe....He could definitely play Brock Lesnar in a movie in younger days
@WolverineDevotee3 жыл бұрын
Gattis is the one who refuses to go under center in short yardage. Harbaugh definitely wouldn't do that.
@Jam-City3 жыл бұрын
@@WolverineDevotee now that I know not to be true at all. I know about the convos they've had. I know Josh contended not to do that because the potential for a fumble is too high and often QB ankle injuries have occurred that way. Sounds logical but not true what you said. I know for a fact Gattis expressed his frustration many times to Harbaugh about the 1980s power football up the middle low deep shot attempts too. They been playing slam ball up the middle past two weeks until Nebraska and even then still a lot in that game. Last game they ran 20 plus plays straight up the middle for minimal gains
@willowbrook27172 жыл бұрын
@@Jam-City just wondering how you are feeling about the play calling and execution after watching a WHOLE season of how things played out. Learn anything about how fans don't understand what the coaches are doing? Just curious.
@Jam-City2 жыл бұрын
@@willowbrook2717 no I didn't learn anything and I'm not just a fan. This is a exact reflection of what I said. My comment said that if Harbaugh took his hands off the offense Gattis could do his thing and that's exactly what happened. See you didn't know that in one of the meetings over a month ago the players went to the coaches and told them they wanted to be more aggressive in the play calling. What happened after that? No close games. You and I both know that Harbaugh's version of offense used earlier in the years and season this year nearly caused 3 additional losses, wasn't aggressive and focused on time of possession. Harbaugh was calling all those slam ball runs straight up the middle with both Corum and Haskins were getting stopped behind the line. That's not how Gattis likes to call plays and as a result He got the Boyle's award for top assistant. Harbaugh took his hands off mostly but not completely and the offense looks better but it still has some limitations with Harbaugh's philosophy because the deep shots down field are lacking. It's maybe 3 a game. We'd score 60 points if we took more deep shots. I studied the film so I was 100% correct in what I said that's how I feel but more importantly it's factual 💪. Question is did you learn from what I said?🤔
@willowbrook27172 жыл бұрын
@@Jam-City wow! Lots of "facts" and a flex there. Impressive. Where can we find your KZbin channel? Where do you coach? How can one get an insider's access such as yours? You know...since you are "not just a fan" and all, it appears that you're a gold mine of information and strategy.

@thebluefus3 жыл бұрын
Thought it was reffed pretty well. Michigan needs to capitalize while they are playing well and score touchdowns. We can’t be sloppy at get a field goal when we should get a td. It keeps the other team in the game mentally.
@Toven_RG3 жыл бұрын
@@thebluefus Facts, we need a Red zone threat as a Receiver/TE to step up, can't rely on Haskins all the time, it's predictable play calling.
@Cryogenx373 жыл бұрын
@@Toven_RG very true, Gattis' playcalling has been way too vanilla. I don't think I remember a single jet sweep/end-around in this game. The one time Corum goes for an outside run went for a TD lol. Could've also use a flea flicker or two like last week vs Wiscy. Do more OL pulls/counter plays cuz that gave Haskins his amazing hurdle run. I don't know if its just me, but I feel like Gattis thinks Michigan's players are at Alabama's level (since he was the OC for them once), unfortunately they're not at Bama's level yet, so he really needs new schemes to play for in the next several weeks.

@Tony Corwin hopefully now you future realize the ERROR of your thinking. They had deep shot available the whole game. What did they do? Revert back to the Harbaugh 3 yards slam ball up the middle. 4 deep shots the WHOLE GAME. 4! It was clear they could have exploited match ups and at the VERY least been in a shoot out but nope 1980s play calling again for the most part. SMH. Next time pay attention son before you go ranting and not reading context of someone's comments. You made yourself look FOOLISH.

I don't know which one put the biggest smile on my face; Corum's sonic burst for a TD, followed by him "eating" corn on the cob, Haskins' amazing hurdle for extra yards, Hawkins ripping the ball out AND recovering it, or Moody's two Field Goals in the final minutes. Ah Hell, it's a 4-way Tie 😄

Game Winning Clutch Gangster Ass Field Goal. I Love Jake Moody. Then, he's so pumped up from hitting that Winner, his Kickoff sails 85 yards through the uprights, clearing the crossbar by I don't know how much, and landing in the 3rd or 4th row, being occupied by Nebraska fans, some of whom have their arms raised, signaling Field Goal, on a Kickoff. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. New rule suggestion: All Kickoffs clearing the crossbar and threading the uprights are worth 1 point 😄 If he doesn't get drafted in the first three rounds, I will be surprised. I'm glad Harbaugh dissed that girl for the post-game interview on the field. He ran right by her 😝 Good for him. Frankly, I for one find these little quickie interviews unnecessary and annoying. I don't need to hear how the coach feels immediately after the final whistle. He's about to go and do a larger scale interview in the Press Room, he needs a couple of minutes to collect his thoughts.

I think a majority of the interviews are unnecessary especially the interviews after practice everyday of the week. Coaches can’t discuss injuries so what is so important from day to day. How about we let the coaches do their job instead of wasting time on useless interviews.

I’m the biggest die hard Michigan football fan. Coach Frost can coach. He just doesn’t have the overall talent to compete right now in that conference. Just like Coach Harbaugh didn’t have this overall talent when he began his tenure at Michigan. Nebraska staff, AD, President, alumni and fans just need to be patient. Just like Michigan fans were. I can slowly see Nebraska contending soon. They are about a two players away, namely at qb.
