I was rear ended in an Armada at a stoplight by a Suburban. And the massive rear bumper that you complained about pretty much took the entire impact of the collision. The suburban was totally destroyed and while my rear bumper certainly needed to be replaced and there was a dent in the back door, the rear bumper really came through in protecting us from much more damage. So yeah, love the treat bumper! It’s not always about looks, sometimes these things are there to protect your life.

Same here although it wasn’t as bad as you, the guy that bumped me from the back got a pretty bad dent while mine just got some dust on it and I just rubbed it off.

Just returned from a 700 mile road-trip,averaging 22.6 mpg 2 passengers 70-75 mph!Could have easily got 23 plus running a little slower

Despite how long in the tooth the Armada is, I’d still buy one. Why?? Hell, I dunno 😂I think the platform, 5.6 Endurance V8, fairly smooth ride, and decent passenger room is still a good selling point. And not everyone wants to spend $80k-$83k on GM’s new full-size suvs, or at least that’s me. The new tech is cool also. I think the front end restyling will easily grow on a new owner. Honestly, I’ve always been a fan of the Pathfinder-Armada/QX56-80(I own a 2008 QX56) so I’m a little biased. Could it be better, HECK YEAH…without a doubt! But until Nissan decides to really flex with the ground up platform budget, I kinda like where their full size suvs sit. Either way, fabulous review, Matt! Car Gurus is the shit😎

The audio sound quality in the Armada is excellent as in most Nissans..something many other companies treat as an afterthought.

Tried and true, the Armada will never let you down, it lives snowy roads and that 5.6 V8 will last forever. Get one while you still can!

Fully loaded Platinum 4WD with loaded tech maxes out at $65k with discounts/rebates... Basic Tahoe/Yukon with just basic packaging/tech starts out at $60 - $65k ... hmmm, Armada please!

We just bought an armada. Yukon SLE is about 69000 that’s not fully loaded, plus Nissan is a lot more reliable, well from my experience. Armada gives more for less. Nothing against GMC I own a GMC Sierra

Dear Nissan (and so many other manufacturers,) please STOP making oversized blingy wheels mandatory on certain trim levels for SUVs!! Anything with 4WD needs more RUBBER, not more metal!! Leave it as a stand-alone option for people who just want it.

Good call.. For a smoother ride, the best shock absorber is smaller 17" or 18" wheel. Good old rubber filler with air work great..

Interior and exterior are gorgeous in this Nissan Armada. Reliability is a 10 for this naturally aspirated engine. Easily go 400k or more with rountine maintenance.

Is the radiator hoses attachment made out og flimsy plastic like on most all of the new crap they are making today? Is the battery in the front wheel well so if you need a jump you need to remove the tire and front wheel well plastic basically adding to the misery of having a dead battery like most SUV? 😮 Crap on 4 wheels.

There is more storage space than the GM triplets, Land Cruiser, and Sequoia. I'm not sure why he was knocking on the Armada about storage space and comparing it to a minivan. I left after that tidbit, so I'm not sure if the review got any better or worse. The Armada is based on the Y62, which has loads of good reviews from the Middle East to Australia.

Great looking vehicle. Whats totally missing is how the rear seats fold. I have 3 kids in car seats and I cant buy this vehicle. As you would have to take the car seat out every single time to get kid to rear seat as they only fold over and dont slide. Sad that the pathfinder has the tech to have car seat installed and access to the rear, yet the vehicle built for large families does not. Here is hoping that the redesign has this in mind.

Wish we got the Patrol here instead of this cute ute. Infiniti wishes the QX80 was a Patrol but sadly misses key parts. Nissan really needs better product for the Armada and Murano.

Love the drivetrain and the new redesign look, but front center console has no space whatsoever, where is the passenger supposed to rest its phone if you have two drinks in the front? Unacceptable for such a large SUV. Also some middle size SUVs have more room in the third row seat than this full size SUV.

Bought a 2017 SL with 78k miles 22k and ithas been amazing so far Can’t really care for the tech. It has room, commands the road, people look out for it because most people who drive smaller cars know their cars will sustain more damage if they decide to be assholes. Las Vegas has TONS of asshole drivers.

Just test drove this same model last night and the amount of vibration on the wheel and noise in cabin is ridiculous for the sticker price. The Tahoe drove way better overall. I currentyl have a 2018 Nissan Rouge and that drives better then Armada. Also test drove the Pathfinder and that one also drove better and more functional then the Armada.
