2021 Nissan Titan Pro4X 😲 Leaking Panoramic Sunroof 😱 Problem?

Please let me know in the comments if this leaking of the roof is normal or if it's a big problem.

I just dropped off my 2023 platinum Titan XD with pano sunroof at the dealership today for a leak that seems to come down the A pillar or down the dashboard onto the driver door sill. I park on an incline with the front nose high. If they can’t figure it out I may try backing in and parking nose down. I want to love this truck but leaking rust colored water to the interior is a hard pass.

Hello there! I hope that your problems with your pro4X have been resolved by now. Roof leaking problems with Nissan Titans are kind of a thing. Unfortunately the reason I know is I am going through the process of resolving one on my 2021 Platinum Reserve model which like yours also has a panoramic sun roof. We have been having the typical rainy summer in South Carolina and this leak problem has really raised it's ugly head here recently. I purchased my Titan locally last October with a little over 18,000 miles on it so it is still under warranty and I am lucky to have a decent relationship with the Service Shop who have promised me they will get to the bottom of my leak. As you might imagine I have been doing some of my own investigations of Nissan Titans leaking. I won't bore you with all the stuff I've found (especially on the Titan forum) but I can tell you that all sunroof are designed to leak. However, they have channels built all the way around them to capture the water and move the water to the 4 drains that are built into each corner. From each drain there are clear tubes attached as drain lines and they usually are routed down the A and B pillars of the vehicle until they exit out behind the tires. In your video you can see the water running into the channel of the sunroof. Because they broke your inside trim pieces and left them off is the reason you can even see the water coming in. When those get replaced you should never see it. There are videos on KZbin that show how to clear the drain holes in sunroofs when they get clogged with debris using string trimmer line and actual kits that you can buy on amazon for just that purpose. If those drain holes get clogged bad enough the water will spill onto the headliner and can go wherever it feels like. I'm sorry I didn't intend for this to be so lengthy... Had the same issue with mine and I was told that is how the channels the water and is designed to drain like that inside the truck through drain tubes

Had that on my 21 platinum reserve. As far as I know and as crazy as it sounds I think it's supposed to do that....kind of. That chanel catches the water if you have the sunroof tilt open. It also happens that that seal between the two pieces of glass when it's closed is not completly water proof under high pressure

No, have not really used the truck much - still under 2k miles, so I can't testify on how it handles the elements in the real world. Any luck with yours?

2022 platinum reserve. Dealer adjusted sunroof and problem solved. It also solved an issue that developed with the sunroof not closing sometimes from the poped up setting. Other things to note. Had fuel pump replaced under warranty due to small crack in it. Motor mounts were replaced under warranty due to cracks. Battery replaced under warranty. Three recalls done. Seat belt, lights, transmission.
