@@philmickey7247 Anytime I see videos on those tiny A frame or Tear drop campers and the prices there selling for I just want to knock people in the head that are thinking of buying them. Do you know how much of the trailer is functional when boondocking with the solar setup? Would an additional portable solar panel supplement the capabilities of the roof-mounted panel? I'm a former Casita owner who tried out a full size trailer and want to get back to something small and nimble and I love the idea of being off-grid but still having some conveniences. Thanks in advance!
@JustinShanholtzer3 жыл бұрын
@duckhunter71 the solar only provides a trickle charge to the 12V battery. The 12 V battery runs very small items on the inside trailer. The short list is what you cannot run off the battery, no A/C, no microwave, none of most of your outlets. Now you have an inverter on the trailer that will give you the ability to run some outlets and larger appliances like the fridge, but otherwise everything else you need to be plugged in or it runs off of propane (water heater for example) then the next question then shifts to how long can you those items. At that point, it gets very complicated and no one can provide a 100% accurate answer because there are so many variables. I’ve heard rumors say the charge rate of the solar is around 8-10 hrs so likely you’d be able to run some small items off a 100 watt solar panel for around 24 hours or so.
@PM-qp5he3 жыл бұрын
This is very nice. I've seen one at a show. Its over priced about 5~10k not as bad as a airstream but still. There's really no need for a tear drop style for a trailer this size. The bed area feels cramped. The barefoot is better for your $$.

The AS has 100 thermal bridging, so when boondocking your propane consumption for heating will be very high. When its hot the single pane windows on the AS will allow heat in and the tin can will require a generator to keep cool. The T@B 400 has a queen bed where as the 16 or 19 AS has a full. The AC on the 400 can be run off the lithium battery upgrade. The 400 is 900 1300 pounds less gross weight than the 19 AS. So the AS will require a bigger TV for the tongue weight alone.

@Buckwheat Hikes we don’t make up the price! The manufacture does. You can finance these with 10% down and as long as you have a good credit history it’s affordable with long terms available like 10-15 years available. To each their own on who’s buying what at what value! I just saw a money clip sell for $16,000 on eBay, Rolex watches are 10k-100k, cars are selling for over sticker- vases online selling for thousands, art work selling for millions. Do you get my point? It’s all in what you value…. The reality is that this trailer is built better than 99% of the rv industry, with better service after the sale, and it has everything that a 30ft trailer has in something 18ft long and people see value in that. Pro tip: You don’t have to buy this trailer and it’s okay that you have your opinion! The good news is that we stock 500 different RV’s at different sizes and price points to help accommodate your needs and make it affordable.

I've been looking at T@bs, and other RVs for years (and mobile homes, for that matter, even longer). I know the prices, and I know the differences in quality and style. I don't want a mobile home anymore, not that I wouldn't live in one if that's what I had. I have a place to live, and you can't take a mobile home out on the road to travel across the country. This T@b can be pulled by a Jeep or SUV. It would be easy handling for a woman, and it's completely self-contained. Above all that, it's adorable, and it's quality built. Some people would argue about the quality, but some people would argue with a fencepost. IF I had the money 💰, I would gladly plunk it down on one of these and not consider myself hoodwinked in the least, but lucky. You can always buy cheaper, but cheaper does not always get you quality.

I have alway wondered why these the tabs & the airstreams are so expensive. Structure fine. But there are plenty other RVs with same materials that cost far less. Nice try to justify the cost. These companies simply get you to buy theirs by using fear as a motivator. Resale is still way too high. Get for sellers. Not so for buyers. I found both not any better than some lower cost small RVs.
