Great video, as always. I always learn from watching you and enjoy the information you share. I respect the perspective of informing people that going inexpensive is logical until your skill builds enough to sense the difference in higher quality products. I never got into any hobby where my products weren't changed out over time, as I learned what I liked. Going inexpensive makes sense, put the money you have into the bow, the rest can be swapped over time. Most, if not all, shops won't be this honest. Respect.

"I think I would be able to shoot quite good with $1,200.00 set up," heck my first hunting compound bow cost me all of $50.00 and I shot a nice six point buck with it as well. It was a 45Lb. Bear Blacktail Hunter, with Easton xx75 arrows and Thunderhead 125,s. I up graded the very next year but I still don't have a $1,200.00 set up. So if you are wanting to get rid of that bow set up, I would be happy to take it off your hands, Ha Ha, Love your videos Steven thanks for posting. Luke

Looking out for the customers needs instead of getting sleep. So Stephen of u. I don't think people know how good the VAP's r. I love the performance I get out of them after your recommendation of them a couple of years ago. However u r not doing them justice unless u r using a dropaway rest. As far as a hunting quiver goes to use them in there is nothing better than the Conquest Talon which u gave me a heads up on. Thanks for both😁

Your channel is great! Been watching a lot of your vids, older to newer. QUESTION I've got a 31.5" draw length, and am looking for a great bow that is a balance of fast, and easy to shoot. 70lbs draw weight. ATA I'm not too picky with. I have $700 cad and can't decide if I go new, or used, or what to get... cheers!
@renatugaming57303 жыл бұрын
well with used you have to be careful, if you get a bow from ebay, you risk not getting a bow that has a warranty. I don't know off hand which bows could go to 31 inches, maybe elite or hoyt or pse has some options you would have to check. You might have to fix it with getting a longer loop length or by putting twists in strings/cables (don't remember which one increases draw length so you would have to check on that). Many bows have 70 pounds as their max draw weight as long as you don't get a youth bow, but your draw length would prevent you from getting a youth bow since a lot of beginner bows from say, diamond, don't go past 30 inches (maybe if you're lucky). ATA is more honest because of regulations but only HOYT uses them. I would suggest looking at your nearest archery store to see if you can get recommendations, they would be better at suggesting equipment. If you buy used you would need to buy new strings and cables which would cost an extra 100 dollars, but you might have other issues too that would need to be checked. i would suggest staying with name brands if you want nice quality that isn't going to break on you and that shops can service for you (PSE, HOYT, Mathews, Bowtech, Diamond etc etc.). I ultimately can't decide for you, but with some of these companies reaching up to really expensive for price point, it's a decision that is up to you. Another option is to try to save some cash to get something better, because there are some mid priced bows that are really nice bows that are just a smidge over your budget. Keep your arrow price in mind too, some top brands to get arrows from are Gold Tip, Easton, Black Eagle, Carbon Express, and Victory. With these brands you get way more options for spine than buying your arrows off of amazon.
@renatugaming57303 жыл бұрын
2021 Bowtech Amplify new has max draw length of 30 inches (add twists to the cables to make your draw length longer and use a longer d loop to get to that 31.5 inch draw length if possible) 8-70 pounds of draw weight, 31.25 inches axle to axle, 6 inch brace height and speeds up to 334. you would have to see if you could get a bowtech dealer to get it to you though, it runs at 549 usd (696 cad roughly) at Lancaster Archery Supply (my personal store of choice in the U.S.) for the barebow. Just one bow I saw that might fit you, but might need to go a little lower if you wanted to get accessories and try to shoot that way.

@@renatugaming5730 I bit the bullet and ordered a PSE NTN 33. Goes up to 31.5" and 60 to 70lb draw. Opted to get a new bow from a dealer because its just so difficult to find anything used in my draw length. Warranty is also important for sure!

Hi, Steven why not just shoot it with the sight it comes with and save the $50.00 ? I know if I was buying a bow that came with a five pin sight I would not spend the extra until I wanted to up grade and then buy something that really changes things. I would then add the fifty to upgrade to better arrows. Luke.
@tcnarber13 жыл бұрын
I would say pin brightness is a big issue there. Most of the ready to shoot packages don’t have a sight with adequate pins
@AussieArcher12343 жыл бұрын
The cheap sights are weak plastic and brake easy , the Pins are horrid in poor light and inside and they dont adjust the easiest , As you drop down the sight from 20 the last pins axes is not level so the arrows shoot off to the left or right, and if you correct it and go back to 20 , now the 20 pin is way off left or right . a metal sight is much better.
@LukeMcMullin3 жыл бұрын
@@AussieArcher1234, I must say I haven't seen the sights in person, so In view of what you have said about the poor quality of the sights the bow comes with, I would then agree with Steven's choice. On the video the sights looked good enough but no one wants cheap plastic sights. Luke.
