I am sure a few originated there... These events are on the radar of investigators. About 30 years ago, my friend was harassed on the field by detectives trying to track down a stolen Marmon V16. He had a Marmon V16 crank for " sale " . He used it as an attraction. The detective questioned him where he got it!! He replied, if he had a Marmon V16 he would never part it out! How many people need parts for one vs the value of the complete car!!! We used to see people being escorted off in cuffs for selling non-authorized, bootleg, GM, Ford and MOPAR parts.
