This summer I’ll have had my Katana for a year. Not a single regret

Wish my test rides could last longer than 20-25 minutes. Kind of reminded me of my old Speed triple. Thanks for watching!

@@jdbmoto its a 3.2 gallon tank.. but more like 3 to max fill. Its not a 5 gallon. The gsx-s1000 is 5 gallon. I get about 90 miles off a tank if im lucky. My complaints are heavy clutch (but it’s gotten better with miles), small gas tank, and a 50 rear tire. The bike is a lot more compliant with a 190 55 or a 180/60. I do like the long stroke though. The bike is pretty weak and docile until you hit 9k.. and then it wants to rip your face off

Had my Katana since last April. Great bike. Power, handling, and comfort. Previous bike was gen2 Hayabusa.

How did you find the power difference between the katana and the Busa? Pretty different power plants. Thanks for watching!
@w.mikati11812 жыл бұрын
@@jdbmoto The Busa is a monster on the straights and sweepers. Mine had BST carbon wheels and a full Akro with tune and made 188hp. But most of my riding was on twisty mountain roads and the Katana shines in such an environment. I don’t think the Busa could keep up with it in the serious twisties.

Does the small fuel tank bother you?
@w.mikati11812 жыл бұрын
@@midhungopan9270 Not really. The fuel gauge starts flashing after 180 or 185 km of riding and I once tested it and it lasted 230km and there was still 1.5 litres in the tank. The range is quite normal for a naked bike and even on long rides, one would stop every 150 km anyway. Besides the Yamaha MT10 and Aprilia Tuono don’t have a higher tank range due to their substantially higher fuel consumption. My Katana averages 4.9/100km on long rides. The Katana is blamed for having a small tank, but the engine is quite economical compared to the competition. If you push it hard and redline it a lot, the consumption will increase of course, but this bike is meant for the midrange and fun on the twisties, not for high speed highway runs.

Sorry dude you done a great job but with no twisting or speed it's not helpful to judge the bike

Elbow down with rearwiewmirror!Normal for japmoto. It good for health if you move your elbows! 🎉
