Another solid analysis. Good point on the Shido, I hadn't thought about that. One thing that needs to be addressed somehow is gaming the Shido rules by slapping their opponent with Shido. Throwing a quick drop technique before the opponent can react without any intention of actually landing, if gives them activity, and the opponent is stuck on defense. Turning into a competition to see who's the fastest who can flop.

It sounds like a trap game for Lombardo, the announcer said the Brazilian also trains with Lombardo's club, so he might have had some familiarity with him, that in conjunction with that having peaked early might've been the recipe for disaster.

Dude! As his fan, I was so pissed watching Lombardo 😂 Fighting like he’s hung over with his dumb looking hairdo….the last fight with An, I swear Lombardo thought he was Uke, you could see him break fall…no one saw this coming except for Abe ripping through the ranks.
