I value your unbiased “brutally frank” review sir Vince. It should have been priced less than a million to justify its features or lack thereof. But then again, there must be a PREMIUM why it’s P1.2 M.. maybe more reliable (built to last especially Philippines roads) and cheaper maintenance and parts compared to Ford Territory and Geely Coolray.,

@@504yaj Yes and it's 1.3m pricetag is too high for a car a boring hard palstic interior. The Honda HR-V would be a better choice (Although Honda's sometime has had trouble with recalling vehicles). Toyota's selling point is its reliability.

I watched too many reviews,thoughts ,impression etc. abt toyota cross.Of all the videos yours are more detailed .Yesterday,We check the new toyota cross 2022 hybrid not the gr-sport.IThe only thing na nakita ko sa 2022 yung may aircon na sila sa rear seat.Sa engine no idea kc wala akong idea abt .that.but wacthing yoyr vids may second thoughts ako na ito ang bilhin namin ng asawa ko.Kalat nga at magulo tignan ang makina plus yung materials na use sa loob not looks so good.Ty sa info.

Yes I agree that it’s too pricey for its features or lack thereof. Maybe they should have pegged it for less than a million. I bought the TCC hybrid… no regrets and it’s really worth it…I just changed the stock horn to Bosch Europa… The Toyota Safety Sense plus the hybrid system features are the game changers…

this is really an honest review, i feels like these Japanese manufacturers are really milking the mentality of pinoys in terms of reliability, but guess what these manufacturers have caught up significantly, to be honest ya you will enjoy your car because it will last 10 years but you are deprived of feature that should be value for money. Para kamg bumili ng nokia 3310 in 2021. because you feel na you dont need other features at important sayo longevity lang at battery life.

Ah Yes, Toyota. An overpriced lineup of cars with cheap interiors and a not-so-good infotainment system... And yes, my Vios and Fortuner have both.. Toyota owner here..matibay lang talaga. Kung mahilig ka sa good quality interior materials and good infotainment system and does not mind high maintenance cost or car breakdowns are no biggie, Toyota is not the brand for you. but if you are into the longevity of the vehicle and the credibility of the brand, Toyota is the way to go...

Toyota Corolla Cross is so beautiful side and back. It has however, the UGLIEST front grill. Sorry, but it look like that it has mustache. I think the genius engineers and designers of TOYOTA can simply fix it. Kaizenize it.

Toyota shouldn't rest on their laurels just because people think of toyota as THE brand in the philippines. Almost all car brands right now are putting in the work to make their cars worth the asking price, which toyota should be doing too. Plus they shouldn't price their vehicles based on the quote "toyota reliability" because other car brands have also made their vehicles reliable without skimping on features and many more

I actually really like the hybrid version of this Corolla Cross. Sure it's a lot more expensive than its competitors and the Corolla Cross G, but it comes with the hybrid system, which makes it the most fuel efficient and most refined + Toyota Safety Sense. However, the G is waaay too underwhelming even considering its lower price.

Agree w/ the brutally honest review; indeed Toyota took a costly mistep in the hotselling cross-over segment; the Badge simply cannot compensate for the "needs improvement section" of the Cross; that steering wheel of the G variant is just hard on the eyes -- ugly! and regrettably, it's a Toyota.

Toyota really needs to stop taking advantage of the Philippine auto market. The Philippines is the only country in the world where I know Toyota does these things like stripping out very nice or even important features and pricing it too high. Look at the US spec Corolla Cross. The top of the line (XLE AWD) only has a price difference of PHP20K compared to the Cross G we get here. Sa madaling salita, Toyota is the Apple, Intel or Nokia (whatever you want to call it) of cars in the Philippines.

around November 2022, we bought a cross exactly same but 2023 edition, we have now been driving it for around 8 months now and we see a lot of what you saying in this video.. i could say a lot of the features even in this version of the model which is basically the same with no frills but it seems everything extra comes with a silly additional price, we bought ours in Bacoor Toyota for 1.3M -- the car is lovely to drive and suits what we need it for .. however it is tempting to get the hybrid as it has more gadgets!! but compared to other cars (SUVS) like the territory which we are not keen on.. yes we picked the right car for us ...

A better integrated infotainment system would do a lot for the Corolla Cross's cabin. I think the Seltos and Coolray are better, but I would take the Corolla Cross over the Territory, which isn't a real Ford.

Hi Benjamin. The Corolla Cross 1.8G will be a reliable car, but lacks in certain things. The Jimny GLX is enjoyable, but not as comfortable on the road. It's a tough choice and the two are very different, but we do like the Jimny, despite the drawbacks.

Hi Ronald. The Cross Hybrid is a good option if you want that full hybrid feel. The Azkarra Luxury, however, is just that: luxurious. Drive both and see. We think Toyota could have tossed in more features in the Corolla Cross hybrid because it feels a bit short for the price. Geely's mild hybrid isn't there yet, but the package is superb.
