Great review. Pls do one head to head for the best full sized value SUVs that offer a 7-8 seat config. Would highly appreciate it. The 150k dirham range has a lotttt of confusing options. Telluride, palisade or this Toyota?

Telluride is more luxurious. The Highlander is more functional, but a very practical car.

Good review Imteshan! Have you managed to get hands on the xterra? Looks promising. Plus is guess this car would be cross shopped perhaps with the fortuner. Id pick this tbh

Not yet, it's just come out here. I don't think Highlander really compares to the Fortuner, that's a pickup with two tacked on seats, more of a rugged 4Runner style car. If anything, Highlander compares to the Nissan Pathfinder. And to some extent, Prado. And is better than both .

I’ve been looking for an suv and test drove so many of them and I’ve decided to get the highlander it is miles better then Xterra ( sluggish steering , poor handling , power almost non existing & uncomfortable ride ) the second I drove that highlander I knew it was going the one, if you’re not interested in Toyota I would also recommend the kia telluride, that was an amazing car as well

A Telluride is a little bigger and a little plusher in terms of options - however, the Highlander drives a lot nicer.

I never understood people who buy the land cruiser and they never use it offroad or even know how to use it offroad. Just buy a minivan instead and save your money.

Fantastic car, Very fuel efficient, smooth and elegant. I love it. Unfortunately you can't afford to be in an accident even if it was the other person's fault. I was in a small accident on July 11, 2021. Just the bumper. It was light, my speed was below 20km/hr. Al futtaim apparently is not ready for the responsibility of this car. No parts. It is September 1, 2021 and my damaged car is still at the agency's repair location. Spending a daily amount of 100 to 120 dirhams just for transportation, I am left with no car till now. I paid for this car in full and not even a spare car from the agency to lend me while waiting for the repair. I will reply back on this post the day I receive my repaired car back.

About time Toyota brought this here. But a little pricey. Lexus has similar option in RX 450h L (long wheelbase???) but not available here...

good review. As you rightly pointed out things break becase its was poorly built. US made cars are poorly built compared to Japanese made cars. That's my deal breaker, off to Prado.
