2021 VW California Coast T6.1 in Cherry Red

We have a brand new 2021 VW California Coast T6.1 in Cherry Red here at Liverpool. It's as lovely as ever, but can you spot an interesting change inside? Let me know in the comments if you spot it.
This VW California Coast only has a few optional extras on it, so the majority is standard, but it would be interesting to know what you'd add to this model to make it better.
Would you keep the Cherry Red or do you prefer the two-tone paint options?

Thank you Chris, we have a Cherry Red Coast on order with an almost identical spec to this one except we have heated front seats and towbar as well. I think the van looks terrific in this colour especially with the privacy glass as you say. Good luck getting through these difficult times.

Hi Chris, I'd be keen to see if the bellows upgrade makes the manual roof any more difficult to tuck (roll) away. In particular, if it makes it more tricky to avoid catching the canvas when tucking away behind the clamps. An updated video on the manual roof with this option would be really useful. Many thanks

Hi Chris, in the 2021 T6.1 we have had a fifth seat put in behind driver seat. Any idea how we take out for when we dont need. When its in the table cannot come out. Thanks so much for your videos

How do you feel about the rear aircon as an option for the Coast? Assuming no rear passengers then your options for that van seem spot on but with kids in the back things could get uncomfortable on long summer journeys.

We just received our Coast last week and it arrived without an awning which I was convinced was a standard option- the dealer is telling us that it is an optional extra. I think I noticed you say the awning is standard in this video - can you confirm this is the case ? Thanks

Hi Damien, as far as I'm aware the awning has always been a standard feature. Do you have any paperwork of your order that mentions the awning that you can show the dealer?

Great! I wondered if the 6.1 DCC differs from earlier versions, eg. Does the electronic steering weight up in sport mode, or is it still purely a suspension function? On the sport pack I’d like to see the darker tint and the underbody guard. I ordered an ocean with sport pack and was told I couldn’t spec the mudflaps as well. I also had to spec the driver assistance pack. If you could explain why that’s be interesting!

can you choose the grey oak wood floor in the options list instead of the light oak floor as it would be a better contrast with the light oak cabinets as you picked the dark tint on the windows as an option for £354..why did you not also choose the extra opening window with fly screen as an option like the ocean for only an extra £114..this would be the first option i would pick great for airflow on a warm evening and for getting rid of cooking smells

You can't choose different coloured cabinets unfortunately - the Ocean and Coast both get different colours, but you can't spec the other colour for either model. I usually choose popular options when deciding what to add to our stock models. Surprisingly, not many people choose the extra window.
