IMO, all the rants on glossy plastic, touch controls, infotainment, etc. are on point and couldn't be said enough. However, ranting on an SUV not doing burnout is a bit too much. Personally, I don't get what the point is and I'll never do burnout even on a muscle car, especially when it's my own car. Also, Tesla has a few over-the-top stupid features too. You need to drill down the touch screen to change air flow direction of the fans. There's no instrument panel in the newer models. The door handles are unnecessarily gimmick over function.

Sorry, but I'm team Yuri here. This design is good looking, functional, and inoffensive. The Y looks comparatively awkward. I think the performance complaints are overstepping it. This is clearly designed to fall in the footsteps of the average car purchaser, think about the HP ratings for the CR-V, RAV-4, Civic, Soul, Camry (4 cylinder). These numbers and this performance is completely in line with those. The black plastic and control complication comments are completely spot on though. On another note, I love your reviews but I'd encourage you to think of the average driver. For a lot of people (including myself), Teslas ride too harshly...was this more comfortable? I don't think you guys commented on ride quality much, but perhaps I missed it. Here in Montreal it's a big deal, and I care more about the ride quality than I do the 1 time a month I have a fun curvy road to take.

@@recnepse7498 I hate to break it to you, but most people do not buy cars to accelerate instantly. This vehicle was designed to compete against small ICE suv/crossovers not model Y and Mach E. I will take the gloss black over crushing my kneecap on the infotainment unit in the Mach E. To put it quite simply this vehicle will sell in volume which is what it was designed to do. I love how brutally honest y'all are so keep the rants coming! Very excited to see what you guys think of the Ioniq 5 later this year since you liked both the Ioniq and the Kona so much.

Love the honest rants and arguments, felt like a behind the scenes peak.

I think the styling outside is outstanding, especially compared to a Tesla or Mach E. Unfortunate about the rest of it and VW is not famous for their reaction time in correcting things. I am not optimistic about getting an EV replacement for my GTI.

Best ID4 review to date and don’t feel bad about being negative, if you don’t call it out, how could they fix it?

Most honest review of the I.D. 4 right now. Much respect!

The "Statement" they made with this package is "we're boring, overpriced and have unusable tech so you should buy a different EV" 🤣🤣🤣

Noise during reverse drive fits with new US regulation for new vehicles that must have some kind of warming attention. There is nothing wrong with its noise.

VW's been playing it safe with design for way too long.

This is the type of electric car I would get for my teenager. Bland, not fast, goes from A to B safely, and loaded with safety features. I think VW is offering a modest vehicle that we need, not what we desire.

Thanks for the brutally honest review guys!. Still interested in the VW. There are some quirks. I drive a prius c right now and love it, so i'm probably dead inside.

18:31 When Jakub puts it in Park there should be a screen popping up where you can select to keep the a/c running. At least that's what it does in Europe 🤔 (And yes there is a sensor in the seat)

It probably would have looked better in the blue or yellow. At the very least would have made you guys consider what color is best like you normally do
