We have battery troubles too so we have been disconnecting the battery whenever the car is not in use. There is a slow drain somewhere and the radio always comes on when we start it. We just disconnect 2 post, have a small thick towel to be sure all stays not touching anywhere. LOL, it has never started on it's own like that but we only use a key fob only lock, not to start it. Going to be a long week of cold starting yesterday!

Hi guys , I keep a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol in my vehicle. When theirs ice on the windshield, I spray it down and the ice disappears and also cleans the glass. This works great for outside mirrors also because one shouldn't ever scrape them.( it can snap the rubber gasket that adjusts your mirrors.).

DL Day: I've never heard that expression, but coming from North Dakota originally, and having visited Texas in the summer, where crazy people wear jeans and drive black cars in the heat & humidity, the expression "attic blast" may just become my go-to expression too, when dealing with inescapable heat!

Just so you know we do have some cold spots in California. Only once have we experienced -1 F in Tahoe, where we spend a lot of time in winter. Which is much warmer than you, we do get blizzards though. I live just down the hill a bit in the Sierra Foothills where we get all four seasons, including really wet snow, which freezes to the windshield and is like chipping at an ice block to clean it. I do use the trick of water/alcohol mix spray on not cold of mornings to help to clean off the ice. I started watching your videos on Facebook just recently, and subscribed to your channel. I guess snow between concrete and battery . But I've always been told never put battery on concrete. Because I was putting a still good battery and I was told to put on board not concrete.

If I remember correctly do not store a battery on concrete, use a board (like you mentioned) or a rubber mat. Setting it down like Karen did, is ok.
