3:15 sounds so perfect. It’s insane to think it’s coming from something the size of a pedal that is under $400. Great vid thanks!

I haven't played the stomp so I can attest to what it does, but I have really enjoyed the simplicity the Iridium allows and how well it takes my pedals.

Good stuff man! I've been using the Iridium since it came out too. I've been using David Hislop's IR cabs and it's really nice for worship tones. We have iso cabs for amps and I still use it most of the time bc it's so easy to get great tones in the ears and for the live stream
@DustinKoch4 жыл бұрын
It’s been an adjustment for me this year for sure. I’d rather play through my amp, but I’m completely fine with being flexible to make it work at church!

Hey! Would you ever think about doing a tutorial on how to set the timeline up for basic worship delay sounds? can never seem to get it right. 8th note and quarter note delays?

What qualifies as a worship pedalboard? A lot of nice options. Would love a POG2 but don’t think I could ever justify that price over the Sub n Up

Just wanted to clarify your signal path :) Correct me if it's wrong, but is it : Jackson Audio Bloom KEP Bluesbreaker Circuit Walrus Audio Ages Benson Preamp Dunlop Mini Volume P.O.G. 2 Strymon TimeLine Strymon BigSky Walrus Audio Julia Chorus Strymon Iridium If so, have you ever considered running the amp before the wet effects and why did you prefer the amp at the end ? Also, isn't the Chorus messed up from the reverb and delay ? Didn't sound like it, but just wanted to make sure of the signal path first. Thanks ! Great content !
@guitar4life20103 жыл бұрын
Also, i figured you were now using the ACS1 instead, so another question popped to mind : are you using stereo ? If so, bigsky and timeline and julia are stereo as well ?
@DustinKoch3 жыл бұрын
Great question! The POG is actually right before the volume pedal. I eventually put it before my over drives and after my compression. I eventually put the wet effects after the amp once I got the ACS1. I was just used to running everything straight into my real amp and took the same approach with the Iridium at first because it felt more familiar. The chorus was after delay and reverb because I used it more for vibrato than chorus and I felt it was getting lost. Putting it after is a risk, but it paid off. If you watch my cover of “Champion” I’m using it in the intro. Thanks for watching and interacting!

I wish. My church is not set up to run stereo properly yet. (Soon though!) I am actually running the Quad Cortex now. I haven’t been able to make new videos because my wife and I had a son this year and he’s had a ton of medical issues (God actually did a miracle in him). I want to make more videos for this reason, to have conversations with other players!

How do you run the iridium through your pxl-live? I have one and am considering getting an iridium. Going to run it into a frfr cab with a di box. Just not understanding loop 2 connections on the pxl- live to iridium. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
@DustinKoch4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for reaching out. Loop 2 out on the PXL-Live is just a normal out that goes after every loop. It’s basically your master out. I use it to go straight into the Iridium.

I'm really bad understanding electronics - do you go out from the Iridium straight to the PA?

Nothing specific. I just like trying new things. I really love the Benson. It’s more versatile to me than the 1981. Totally different pedals though.
