Yari at 2490 miles my tires were down to the wear bars, nearly shot. When I rode to the Moto America races at Road Atlanta I stopped at a station outside Helen GA got to looking and there were shreds of rubber hanging off the tire. These are basically what a endurance compound race tire was twenty years ago. A lot of wear has to do also with the roads you ride on The roads in GA TN NC have a lot of concrete and granite so they the wear tires extremely fast. For endurance, Bridgestone also has the T31 Evo Sport Touring which has better wet performance and extended life. Equal to the Road6, but cheaper.

Angel GT is street/touring tire. Rosso is street/track. Can't go wrong with Angel GT I would recommend Metzeler M7RR (or M9RR if you're more into curves, speed and leaning, and m7 if you're looking for longevity), but honestly I have MT09 SP 2021 and s22 are pretty good, but they last only about 8000km and that's generous! I don't think the S22 tires that come on the bike are the same ones you buy. I think Yamaha has Bridgestone make a special tire that does not have the harder longer wearing strip in the center of the tire. I wore mine out in 3,500 miles, the steel bands were showing in the center of the rear tire. I replaced only the rear as the front still has some life in it. The new S22 tire had different color paint stripes on it and you can clearly see a lighter color rubber compound in the center portion of the tire I could not see on the factory tires. Also I had "Chicken Strips" on the factory tires but not on the new S22 so maybe the profile is different as well? My plan is to replace the front tire with a Michelin Road 6 when it wears out and later do the same on the rear when the new S22 wears out with the hope the Michelins wear out about the same time saving me the cost of one front tire. From what I have seen online the Road 6 last about twice as long as the S22. My bike (2021 MT09 SP) tips in much nicer with the new rear tire and the bike feels more stable in the bends. It had a flat spot but it was not as severe as yours.

I’m late to the party guys, but this is something that I’ve picked up since buying a ‘24 MT09 this year. Yamaha understandably now factory fit Bridgestone’s latest gen sports tyre, the BT023, but they are just a single compound tyre. However any 023s that you subsequently buy from a tyre shop are indeed a dual compound.

Kinda late. the tyres usually are hard compound on the middle to last longer while going straight because you mostly are standing straight and softer on the sides to have more grip mid corner. So it's normal to dip on the sides. S22s are softer so they will not last that long but they are sticky. If you do more commuting and want all weather performance get road 6 or pirelli amgel gt. If you ride a little sportier you cam get s22 or metzeler m9rr (had these on my r1 and they were incredible even in the wet). All tyres are good nowdays you gotta decide on your riding stile and chose that model

I’m reaching almost 3000 miles on my 2021 and already noticing them starting to square off, more so in the back than the front. I’m not feeling the dip when I lean yet. Most of the time it’s a 20 minute drive to the twisties and I’ve been leaning the bike over harder to see if it will even out. Since I want the performance more I’m probably going to stick with them when I replace them soon. I don’t want a full road tired because I want to feel more confident leaning it over on the softer compound. A friend of mine has the Tuono 1100 and he told me he went through those Pirelli Corsa 2 tires super fast. I always keep my tires at 41.5 in the back and 36 up front.

The pirelli angel gts are not a super sporty tyre. . Notice the center is less curved, more flat on them. Its a sport touring tyre. Meaning, decent grip while feeling a bit flat on the ride. The diablo rosso are more road sporty tyres than the angel gts. The curved sporty tyres feel like they will dip into corners with the slightest hint. the angel gts while decent in corners are good for touring. Ideally such tyres should last long but the angel gts dont go too long. Decent enough mileage . The road 6 while expensive might be the tyres u end up loving for a long time and come back for multiple sets. Check some metzeler m7rr too
