That's how my young ones was acting the first day they wanted to test them wings out every bird was going every different direction but they all came back until they get used to that pattern of flying together it's going to be okay they ain't going nowhere they know where home is at

Thanks Rich, I had trouble last year but I didn’t put them on the roof like I did this time so maybe that had something to do with it. The ones you have left now are real smart so there’s always an upside.

You might need to cut down a few trees to clear up some space for flying. Arcee took down one tree in front of his loft and it made a huge difference jmho👍

It’s funny watching them try to land. Luckily my first time letting birds out ever was only 12 birds. Soon I will be letting my young birds out and it will be too many to count. Fingers crossed.

Best of luck my friend, I hope you can get some video of it. If you can get them in a cage and put them outside for a while so they can have a look around. I didn’t do that last year and my results were terrible. Best of luck🤞

If I was to build a door for my Loft I've already got one as you know mike, but was thinking of building a sliding door for my Loft only issue that I can see being a problem is how to Seal the door so no Rodents or critters can sneak in for a meal?

I usually pull the birds out of the nest when their feathers under their wings have fully grown. If they still have pin feathers, I keep the young birds in the nest. Though the way you do things seems to work for you and I'm happy for your batch of babies.

HI MIKE, I WOULD KEEP THEM TO THE SAME TIME FOR A BIT LONGER, WHILE THE HAWKS ARE NOT AROUND. IF THEY FIND OUT WHAT TIME YOU ARE LETTING THEM OUT THEN I WOULD CHANGE THE TIME. GOOD JOB. 🌟👍

I always like to train my young pigeons before they could fly teach them the traps and leave them outside on the loft for a hour or so

I don't believe it would help because the young need to build confidence at this point and having strong fliers go up with them would frighten them especially since they won't fly in a flock for another week or two. Thanks for your thoughts 👍
