2021 Yukon VS Yukon XL, How Big is the Difference?

Helpful. I was under the impression that the XL additional length was all in the cargo area. 3" of extra leg room in that rear seat is a big difference.

We have 4 kids, and take now our third Yukon XL on 2-week driving vacations every year. There is plenty of room for all their bags and fun stuff. We can also move ANYTHING we want with all the seats down.

I would prefer the yukon xl in my opinion. I like the yukon xl because how big it is, it would be great to go on a vacation. I also like the captian's chair which is in both in the yukon and yukon xl. Cool video dgdg.

She never said how tall she was 😢. My kids are growing and getting tall and I need something with a lot of leg room. Her height would have been helpful or have a full sized man sitting in the back row would have been good as well.

You're not tiny. Like the old saying goes, best things come in small packages. Meaning, you're just right the size you are. As for the vehicle, definitely the xl model.

What about the width and actual physical height? These things are getting bigger and bigger while our old garage dimesion are getting squeezed. I would love to see width with mirrors folded and unfolded. And height with and without air suspension.

I love the look of the regular Yukon! The xl is just too long and looks like an old school bus. I’d utilize the roof rack or cargo hitch for extra space on long family trips.

Does the xl fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood in it with the 2nd row seats laid down? *With the lift gate closed?* I'm trying to replace a long bed pickup i have and an impala premier in one vehicle. I want comfort and quiet, but it needs to be a TRUCK. and it has to be able to tow 7,500lbs. If I can get this, I can replace 2 cars into one.

Yes a 4x8 piece of plywood will fit, like the old XLs and Suburbans, with the second row down. My wife and I have an ‘04 XL we bought new and will be upgrading (understatement). I’ve taken a tape measure to the new ones.

Good video. I'm having trouble deciding which one to get for my family of 5 + a small dog. In most cases the standard Yukon is sufficient. It's for road trips where I'm wondering if the space behind 3rd row plus one part of 3rd row dropped down would be enough.

I have a family of five and two dogs. I was debating as well because I thought the standard wheel base would be sufficient. Everyone told me to get the XL. I’m really glad I did. The third row can always stay up and my trunk still has tons of space. Looking back, I’d regret not getting it.

2nd and 3rd row bench seats. The front driver row as well. So like a truck, the middle seat folds down and you’ll have a small storage console with cup holders. When you need 9 seats, fold it up and someone can sit between the driver and passenger in the front.

The XL comes standard with of course a backup camera and front and rear park assist that provides alerts of nearby detected objects in front of or behind your vehicle to help you park and avoid collisions.

I just recently received delivery of my brand new and completely fully-loaded $98,000 2021 V8 4WD Yukon Denali XL as a daily driver and as my dad calls it "the beast" just to give everyone an idea of what I currently look like driving "the beast" I am average height and I am 21 year's old and currently in driving school my driving instructor said if I'm able to parallel park my brand new 2021 V8 4WD Yukon Denali XL without hitting anything or anybody he'd be seriously impressed because I live around the Washington DC area so that's probably going to be a considerable challenge considering I am a new driver.
