Great presentation! And it's nice to have one newer than the Google Talks one, that Slava did so many years ago.

This is the most useless language I've ever seen. At first it sounds cool with the RPN logic, but then, instead of a tutorial to show, for example, how to take the sin of 90 degrees, he's going off talking about palindromes? Utterly useless. Time to hit the delete key.

I'm just starting the video, but Factor is quite usable. Read the handbook on the site and some example code, once you learn what quotations are you'll find that this language is pretty cool!

@@xravenx24feI did that. Looked through the Factor manual, examples, etc. on the Factor site, and nothing to show how to do basic math: trig functions, taking root of number, raising number to a power, etc. Instead, the documentation talks about "Palindromes." Useless for practical work. This looks like they're stuck in some theoretical mindset of no practical value. That's why languages like this die on the vine because the people behind it are caught up in some pie-in-the-sky tech tangent instead of showing how to use it to solve problems, design, and other real-world applications.

@@scramjet4610at 7:40 in the vid he shows the vocabulary index which includes a math package and many others. If you get angry and give up on things immediately when you run into problems, you won't achieve much in life.
