Test drove a Tundra 1794 TRD Pro yesterday, black, but man…the chrome killed me. I’m with you…I want it ALL blacked out, even if the truck itself is white. Handles, grill, wheels, ALL of it. Subbed, because I have a feeling I’ll be doing this in a few months 😆

Same here, I am looking for a way to swap the chrome, but it’s too expensive. Maybe I’ll just take them out and paint them when I am ready to install CBI bumper and the winch. If you have any ideas please share it here. Thanks

Moving the front camera I'm sure changes the angle for the "birds eye" view on the screen. Did you notice any problems with the new camera placement?

Disconnect positive battery cable. Then unplug all 5 harness plugs and plug them back in securely. Reconnect battery cable. Should clear the codes. If not, go to dealer and ask them to use the scan tool to clear your codes. 5 minutes to do it.

Good job sir you know after watching this video I am going to do the same thing to mine. I have a capstone 2023 and I do not like the grill on it. I like the grill I used to have on my 1794 See some guys like chrome some guys don’t like chrome I’m a chrome man. I think the capstone would look fantastic With the grill in the front like the 1794. We’ll see that’s my idea if it looks good on the 1794 it’s gonna look good on the capstone. I see you don’t like chrome that’s all right. We are like different things but me I love chrome that is one of the most unique feature. I love on my tundra is the chrome. I just love it. I don’t know why I just love it. Makes the truck look really good but yours look good too. Did a good job yeah, sometime you got a customize man to your liking after all. Is your truck good job man👍👍👍👍👍❤️🤣🤣🤣

After swapping to the TRD Pro grille on my 2023 Tundra Platinum and using a front camera bracket, the front facing camera image is crooked as viewed by the 14” screen in the cab. Anyone else have this issue and know how to address it? Is a camera calibration possible?

you dont have to unbolt those brackets in the middle of the grille. the whole thing has clips that pop out from the center brackets.

Be careful of the louver mounting bolts. The nuts are not fixed to the frame, just loosely captive in the plastic (square nut in a square recess). Too much torque and the bolt spins, quickly stripping the soft plastic frame, and suddenly you can't remove that bolt anymore. Had to grip the nut through the plastic with a vise grips to get the bolt free.

Looks like Tedious project 4 to 5 hours? And for what ? Not an improvement at all just a different look. Lets be honest Toyota dropped the ball completely on the front Grille, nothing will help it. All versions have same nasty look! I have a 2023 TRD in white and hate the grille.What I hate even more is the interior which is cheap plastic all over. The door locks are even in thin cheap plastic and you can hear it click! The entire center console is cheap, i mean beyond cheap thin plastic. Further a massive design flaw exists where seat cracks by controls. Toyota claims this is abuse, meanwhile everyone i know has them broken . Mine broke 2x already in one year and I have never ever had one break ever before in any car or truck
