Tetelman is the greatest singer to come to HGO since Cecilia Bartoli. He will be one of the greats of our time

Truly amazing. He has it all!!

I had the immense luck of seeing him perform this summer 2024 at a small concert venue. Stunning. He is a star - taller and even better looking in person and his presence leaps off the stage. His fortissimo in the climax of this piece was incredibly powerful, particularly on such a small stage (although I do worry a bit about his vocal health and ability to sustain that, I hope I'm wrong!).

Perfect performance, one of the best tenors of our days, and he's getting better with time, can't wait to see what is coming from him

What a magnificent voice. One of thr best tenors to come along in decades. Reminds me of Giuseppe deStefano.

Much better

His voice`s color reminded me more of Del Monaco. But, when he sang "...Disciogliea dai veli..." , I understood why he reminded you of di Stefano. His pianissimo is amazing.

A more musical lando bartolini (rip) is what I hear, not to indulge too much in comparisons ;)

It's a magnificent performance but those blistering top notes worry me. I think he needs to pace himself.

He reminds more Corelli, great tenor!

Either something went very wrong with the recording or he is mic’ed up. The sound totally changed at 2:26 onwards. Almost like they intentionally boosted his volume for the last dramatic ending.

There is nothing wrong here. To the contrary this young singer is just fabulous. This performance was flawless. 3:02

I’ve heard from many people that he has this odd ability to almost supernova his sound above the stave. But i think you’re right in that as he’s get’s closer to the recording equipment he’s immensely louder.

He got closer to the floor mic at the edge of the stage. It's that simple. Didn't you see him move forward?
@egwicks8 күн бұрын
Floor mics, yes, but I also have seen him perform this piece in a smaller, non-miced venue and he has this whole other level of fortissimo that he can access. Practically blew back my hair!

Why orchestra is playing so slow? Poor Tetelman is already dying... He sings great however, but please, don't kill singers with that kind of tempos...

His larynx is super low

Hmm. I'm not keen, at all. What's all that vibrato about? It's horrible. I much prefer Jonas Kaufmann's version.
