Thank you for this vlog Tilly. It’s a long time since I visited you in John Lewis London where you were making the Fifi set. I’d just returned to sewing after a long break. I’ve always found your patterns very true to size and made the Bettine dress multiple times and for others. Thank you for sharing, Tilly 🧵💙 It's so interesting to learn about the business and see your enthusiasm first-hand. I've only made one Tilly pattern so far (the Rosa dress) and it was just a toile but wow, the instructions are so detailed and the fit was amazing. The toile also fits my mom well so I'm hoping to make her a shirt version and myself a dress version in the new year. Congratulations on ten years btw! In 2013 I would never, ever have thought I'd be sewing my own clothes by this point. They're still a bit dodgy, but I'm learning! 😃 All the best for 2023 🥂

I started sewing in 2014 and started making clothes in 2015. Some of my first patterns where TATB patterns. And I own your first 2 books. The Agnes Top is still a staple. The Bettine Dress was my first dress and I loved it ! I am currently sewing another Rosa Shirtdress. I have been sewing properly since about 2021 but with a 6 month break due to cancer (all clear now though 😊) so really just building my taste and portfolio of patterns but yours have become a firm favourite, I have all 3 books, the indigo, Lyra, Skye, Stevie and lotta dresses as well as the Erin dungarees, with plans to get more in 2023 (I would like the Pearl cardigan and the swimsuit patterns in particular). I find that the majority of your patterns suit my style and shape and particularly love the Skye dress and have made one for both me and my daughter. I hope 2023 sees your business flourish because I can see me being a good customer for years to come 😊 very excited to see what you come up with next 😊

Congratulations Tilly for 10 yrs of business in these difficult times. I have always sewn from a child and studied City & Guilds "Fashion and Design" in the 80s. Now @ 73 yrs I really enjoy using your patterns and I have made the "Orla" top countless times and even lengthening it into dresses. I love how I can adjust at the cutting stage to fit my small height and full bust. I cut the front to a larger size than the back and hey it fits! So thank you Tilly helping to keep my enthusiasm for sewing.

Loving your updated size inclusions now, I appreciate the work you’ve put into this over 2022. This really did prevent me from looking at your patterns a couple of years ago, having a curvy pear 52” hip. One day I hope to be able to purchase one of your books if ever updated, or perhaps curvy additions may be a consideration…
