I am a 20 years old Senior Full Stack Dev, and although I have been through every and each step of this roadmap mentioned, I often have to go back to them and revisit or dust it off one or another or learn something completely new. So if you're a junior or less and already feeling overwhelmed, dont give up. I also feel overwhelmed after 20 years on the road. The good news: I make a lot of money and I can quit a job for the slightest annoyance a company gives me and guaranteed I'll find a new one within less than a week.

I am studying Java for nearly 2 years in the official documentation and still in the basics concepts. I hate courses that promises 'learn to code in 6 months' or 'from zero to hero in 2 weeks' (shitpost). Coding is a lifelong learning.

I enjoyed the video. As someone that works in the field, I just want to share a bit what I've learned. The most important thing is to keep things as simple as possible - do only what is asked from you, there is no need to implement visitor pattern whenever you are asked to add an endpoint to the API. Also, don't stress about how much there is to learn, take it one step at a time. If you don't want to learn some things mentioned in the video, you will be fine, you will learn it along the way while doing something else. Google is your best friend, if something goes wrong, you can search for it. If you can't find an answer, ask someone to help (people usually like to help others). Another thing is overthinking the job listings (like "I don't know most of these things"). I applied for jobs where I knew very little from the listing and got a job because they saw I was willing to learn. Companies know that you can't know everything they list and that they will pay you months and months without getting value, but when you learn their practices, you will be great addition to the team! Keep coding, don't give up and don't let things overwhelm you.

Before I even went into Linux, I took the CompTIA A+ certification. It’s mainly for IT and help desk employees. However, it forces you to study so many fundamental internet concepts: TCP/IP, UDP, link layer, DNS, VPNs, ports, protocols like HTTP and SSH/Telnet, operating systems, and way more. It even delves into Linux scripting and the Windows command prompt. It helped me so much once I began going through my roadmap.

Thanks for your guidance now i know where i am positioned in. I have learn python and sql. I have done countless python bootcamp but still cannot get around with it. Then i decides to go for django but still wrap around on how it works. I guess i am still at stage one trying to get more familiar with python, then probably later with linux, dns, https and domains. Lol even with a lot of learning getting from tutorial study to actual project is very daunting task.

As someone whose journey has had ups and downs (could be where I am much faster) I want to echo the point of: "Get good at one language before moving on." Most companies don't require you to switch stacks all the time. Learn one stack, learn setting up your IDE and debugging code, basic git, basic Linux commands, understand basic architecture principles and networking, unit testing, and maybe integration testing. The rest of the shit you'll learn on the spot (communication, code reviews, time-planning, dealing with broken releases, performance, etc). Good luck! [Oh, and algorithms and data structures at least a bit. No, you'll not have to write them from the ground up but trust me sometimes the understanding helps write better-performing code - to know which built-in DS to choose.]
