I bought Baleno Alpha AMT in March 2023 in Rs.12 lacs (including accessories, RTO charges, road tax, insurance) . I have driven it 2600 kms so far. My monthly running is around 1000 kms (70% highway & 30% city). Here's what I found - PROS - 1) Spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear occupants 2) Sufficient boot space with hydraulic tailgate 3) Auto dimming IRVM 4) Excellent headlights 5) Very silent refined engine CONS - 1) I regret buying AMT because it gives mileage of 18 to 20 kmpl. I have checked tank to tank mileage many times. I drive with lightfoot and never cross 80 kmph speed. Still it is giving so less mileage as compared to manual version. One of my friend has Baleno manual version & it gives him mileage of 23 to 24 kmpl. 2) No youtuber will tell you this but the rear part of Baleno (near rear grab handles) is bulkier. So when I try to do reverse parking, it creates a blind spot in ORVMs and hampers judgement. 3) IRVM and infotainment screen are so close that it creates a big blind spot on windshield. 4) Manual car gives you confidence that you can control car even at high speeds. But that is not case with AMT. 5) Front seats have good lower back support but equally bad mid back support. 6) Auto start stop system is very irritating. Though Maruti claims that engine will stop 15 seconds after pressing the brakes, in reality engine stops after 3 seconds or 5 seconds.

BALENO ZETA MT: My cons: The rearview mirror is bang ON the windscreen in the new Baleno Zeta. I am 5'10 & many times, when I glance towards the left of the windshield while driving, I am blinded by this blind spot wherein the rearview mirror stares at my face obstructing vision. I have to bend my neck to see ahead. This is a gross faulty design. I feel bad I did not notice this in the test drive. Moreover, you cannot individually operate the fog lamp(Extra fittings). Either you need to switch on the parking lights or the headlights. During rains or fog, the white light is useless. It reflects the light back at you. White light is fantastic when you have a clear day. I felt the braking is a bit spongy. Horn is a bit squeaky. My pros: Otherwise, the car is good. I have travelled over 1000km on pitiable & pathetic NH roads from Nashik (Maharashtra)to Surat (Gujarat)and further and....back, the car has minimum body roll & excellent fuel average. I could get a 21.5 avg on petrol. Six airbags, Fantastic sound system. Very roomy interiors. A very impressive soundproof cabin, the armrest is a great value addition. Lots of boot space in this car. Tilt and telescopic steering column. Overall: Baring a few cons, I am sold on this family car. A must-buy, value for its on-road price of 9.97lakhs in Maharashtra. I enjoy driving this new Baleno Zeta MT.

I feel the same pain with the rear view mirror which blocks view for tall people like us. However, i discovered that the mirror is adjustable and that gave me some relief. On the Mileage front, i am not convinced, as on good highways also i am getting around 18 km/ltr. My speed ranges b/w 100- 120. (On expressways, you cant go slower than this) I have checked mileage on full tank to tank basis and still cant get more than 18. Did i say my car is just 5 months new...

After your videos I took test drive Alpha Amt..I didnt find any jerk...if u drive below 1800 rpm & speed of 65 to 70 in city, light footer with slow brake & accelerator pushing I got ..18 to 20 in city..with no jerk of Amt...rem..baleno..amt gives best mileage

Sir, glanza/baleno/i20 and amt/cvt/manual main confuse hoon. Kis company and gearbox ki service cost and maintenance cost kam hai and service quality good hai. 10-12 saal ke liye chahiye, 300-400 kms monthly, light footed within speed limit chalata hoon. Budget 10 lakh on road, city/highway 40:60

You confused me, we chosen Zeta AGS, but you suggesting manual. Can we go for Alpha AGS or continue with current selection. We chosen AGS so anyone in family can drive

The gist of his review is "choose according to your needs". If you want others members in your family to drive and they don't know manual drive then Zeta AGS is a good option. Considering the traffic, AGS makes more sense. 5 years down the line, you will be more happy with AGS.

Why are you claiming that you are getting poor mileage yet the MID shows 21? In our case, the MID is displaying 13 km/l, however this is the overall mileage; the mileage will vary depending on the driving conditions for each journey.

Baleno se better koi car nahi even is se 2 categories upar aur 1 category neeche ki cars bhi Baleno se compete nahi kar sakti.
