Great information, I had booked 2023 x40 and is almost ready for production. Have been searching around if this 2023 model is getting curved display, there is no information anywhere. Even on BMW USA site, the model is still listed 2022. Any idea ?

I eyeing an X6. Just bcos. It's looking sexy, it's sporty, it's comfortable, .. the x6 fits my needs of sporty functionality. I currently have an 2016 Mazda CX-3. It's an absolute underrated car and I'm actually glad I purchased it. I still will keep my Mazda as it is a great city commuter, as well with sporty functionality on a smaller scale of course. I did 2 moves with my Mazda, and I'm actually impressed of how much h this 'smal' car can fit. But nonetheless, I'll treat myself with an X6, once the world has laid down its madness. I just purchased mine in May 2022 and I love this SAV (although I never can remember what the “A” stands for lol). Like you said in the video it’s comfort, power, and luxury all in one. Also, pleasantly surprise that it’s good on fuel. 🔥😎

Awesome review of a gorgeous car! I’m 6’ 4” and recently changed to the X5 due to the limited headroom in the X6. Loved my X6 ❤ and miss the sporty looks, but I’m sitting like a king in the X5 where I always crouched a bit in the X6.

M50i is not a settle, it's a conscious choice to not be "punished" by the ride quality on a daily basis, doing errands and Costco runs. It has 85% of the Competition's horsepower, outputs the same toque, while maintaining more comfortable ride quality and nearly the same luxury amenities when fully optioned. I'd definitely recommend F86 X6 M, because the ride quality wasn't as "punishing" as this gen. I'm very happy with the BMW M Performance line products, they strike an absolute perfect balance and in such an unique position that's not seen from any other manufactures.

Great video, I am here in Germany and am thinking of getting one. Have test driven the M40i twice, and have specced out a 2023. Just on the fence of trading in my 2019 Jaguar i-Pace First Edition for a new, more costly car....options - options. Thx for sharing your very nice whip!!!

@@cartherapy2.0 my sis has a 2020 x6m50i and honestly it feels more comfortable than the x6m. (Seats do differ if im not mistaken) To be quite frank, Id prefer your (front) seats over the x6m comp ones.

@@germaninvasion121 M seats are most definitely more comfortable and better than the comfort seats in the luxury seating package even when optioned with Individual Merino leather. Ryan's car has the standard M sports seats with Vernasca leather, which are quite uncomfortable and not very luxurious especially for the price and the class this car is in, and the seats are missing a few very importable adjustments. In the video, he wasn't saying he didn't fit, he was showing how high the seat could go, then complained about getting "crunched", right but you are doing it to yourself, and why would you raise the seat so high when it's not your sitting position? haha good fun. The huge range of BMW seats and steering wheel adjustments are absolutely amazing. From someone like you at 6'3 to someone who's 5'1 (which is why the seat can go that high)

@@cartherapy2.0 X6 M Comp seats are more like the Comfort Seats (optioned with Individual Merino leather) than your M Sports Seats, they feel very differently. But I don't think it affects the seating position. I've never tried a X5/X6/X7 with M Sports Seats like yours, I've actually never seen one in person. I know most dealers in South Asia, Taiwan and Australia would order them in with M Sports Seats to keep the cost down and avoid higher import taxes.

I got exactly the same car except mine comes with black roof rails as well and ventilated seats. Still at the dealership atm working on the last details. I had an f86 x6m before and atm I drive an e3 Cayenne but the x6 it's still my fav so I decided to trade in the Cayenne for one of these :) Regarding power, I'm kind on the same page, after having a stg2 x6m with so much power that I pretty much never used since I mostly do city drive with lot's of traffic a v6 makes more sense to have. Also, the 48v mild hybrid system this car comes with works pretty nicely and the car tq it's quite impressive. And of course, a quick tune file could also be done and put this from 5.5sec 0-100km/h to somewhere around 4.7sec. As for the 5.0i makes no sense to me, it's either this or the real M. Cheers!

Great review. I have a 2020 G06 and love it (actually traded my 2020 G05 for it) especially for the look. I’m 6’1” tall and fit fine in the front seat in the lower position. My G06 has 22” wheels and I’m curious what winter setup you will use. I’m bringing over 19” Firestone Blizzaks from my 2020 G05 that I plan to use.

I just order continental ice contact Xtreeme winter tires. I also looked at runflat michelin alpin zp winter tires. But they’re not meaty enough for me. We get a lot of alot or snow and the continentals we’re the ones.

@@cartherapy2.0 You probably get way more snow and ice than I do in NJ. What size did you downsize to? My 2020 X5 had 21" tires so I went down 2 sizes to 19", but curious how it will be now that my G06 has 22" tires. I've had the winter tires through 2 winter seasons and luckily they haven't even seen the snow yet. Good luck.

Hi. I am trying to decide between the x5 45e and the x6. I need to make a decision and have order placed before Labor Day. Questions: the moulding below the doors when getting in and out is that due to the trim package on yours or same for all x6? I had an 2015 x5 with running boards and after 4 years sold it because I just could not stand the running boards. Luckily I didn’t drive it often. So don’t want to get another with same issue. Blind spots. With the sloped back are those spots bothersome? I drove an x4 and decided quickly it wasn’t for me due to the back. I assume the x6 is no better? I have not driven x6 but have owned past bmw so I know the ride and driving is great just those crazy quirks (running boards on a x5).

I was thinking of getting the X5 45e but it was a 6 month waitlist. Nice cars!! To be honest I literally have to almost jump out to not have my leg hit the running board. Lol Maybe it’s fine for others. But pretty much every time my leg rubs against the running board getting out of the car and it’s starting to mark the clear coat. I’m not sure if the trim is the same. This car it’s painted running boards and others it’s not. Blind spots. Yeah the rear window is pretty small but it’s not too bad. The X5 is way easier to see with the rear window. Great review. When you drive it with no music, do you notice squeaks from the rear or front doors? ( in my BMW, bottom plastic of the door panels makes distinct unpleasant squeaking). I applied soft foam like material, yet it has not cured annoying issues. I have other cars, much cheaper ones snd none makes such cabin squeaking. Where did German qualify go? 😡😡😡

Just wanna give a heads up. I believe this car is just a Xdrive 40i not M40i and also it has a twin scroll turbo not a twin turbo. I believe the M40i are in sedans and x3 and 4. And twin turbos come in 50i,M,and competition. Love the car. Perfectly spec'd !

Really depends on what you need the car for. It’s pretty crazy because they’re very similar in price. I got the X6 because I have a two-year-old daughter because it would be way too hard for me to do it with my 18’ M4. Which one are you leaning towards getting?

Hello Ryan, we’re waiting for the online ordering to be available so we can order a 2023 X6 4.0, in the metallic black with the same wheels as yours. We’re in Florida so I won’t have to replace the wheels in the winter. Do you have any information on differences between the 2022 and 2023? I-Drive, horse power increase to match the X7 V6 engine, etc.? Thanks again, we look forward to placing that order and taking possession of it in Spartanburg at the Factory. Cheers!

I have a X4 M40i right now. Been debating between X4M, X6M, or Cayenne GTS. Starting to think the power isn't really important as much as the overall package.

Ive had ‘19 X6, ‘19 AMG GLE Coupé, ‘21 X4 M40i, now ‘23 X6 40i. The X4 felt more nimble because it was lighter- tons of fun to drive. But X6 is a different feel. Definitely go M50i or M if you want more HP. I test drove a ‘20 X6M- I’m a petite girl (only 5’) and it was too much power for me. But you can’t go wrong either way.

We had a 18’ X3 M40i before the X6. I like the space and room of the X6 better. I would personally go with the X6M over the X4M or Cayenne GTS. Keep us posted if you test drive them Cris. Good luck! 👍🏻

The X3 M40i was stiffer. Especially on the highway. I prefer the X6 ride as it’s more comfortable.
