I have a 2022 Bronco Black Diamond, which I upgraded from a Big Bend. You need to some more research on the Broncos. The Black Diamond comes with rock rails, trail turn assist, rear differential lock, and the 6 switch auxiliary panel. You talked about the front differential lock and sway bar disconnect. Those feature switches run about $20000.00 extra, and don't forget the big all terrain General Grabber 32 inch tires. This gives you the Sasquatch package look without paying $7000.00 and the steel bumpers with led fog lights. My Bronco was $45,385 with the 2.7 v6 and the mid grade package. The mid grade package is worth the extra 1400.00.

Black Diamond is more than most people need. It's probably the best value. In reality if they offered the base model with a 33 inch wheel option, that'd be the one to get.

Got the 2022 Black Diamond over the Badlands because it has everything I need and nothing I don't. The money I saved can go towards alot of other mods. Lift or level ,bigger tires, lights or what ever.

I chose Badlands because it was the only trim I could do Manual Trans + Lux Package.

James: Fantastic job of breaking down the differences in the two trims. I will be ordering a Bronco at some point and it will be one of these two. I wish Ford would have offered the High Package in the Black Diamond. Would love to have the larger screen but I do not need the sway bar disconnect and Bilstein shocks. The Black Diamond makes more sense to me because it leaves more options for upgrading without pushing the final price upwards of $60k. The Black Diamond comes standard with rear diff lockers and higher gear ratio rear end. My build will include a two inch lift, wheels, 35 inch tires and upgraded stereo. I can do all of that, get 90% of the capability of a Badlands, get the custom look I want and probably still save around 6k.

if I did not get the Base I would get the black diamond trim for sure, if I ordered today thats the trim I would go with for the rear locker and other off road goodies plus the interior is better I think.

How about resell? If I'm impulsively buying and might want to sell it in a year? which will be easier to resell? Thanks.

I believe the Black Diamond comes standard with an Electronic Rear Locking Differential, no??
@JamesPlaysWithCars2 жыл бұрын
Yep, Black Diamond has rear locking diffs, while Badlands comes with front & rear!

I have two recovery hooks on the back of my Black Diamond, that could be because it is either a 2021 or I ordered it with 4A

Do you lose the suspension benefits of the badlands if both have the sasquatch package on both?
@MyCarsandProjects2 жыл бұрын
The Black Diamond is the budget off-roader, MGV seats, wash out floors, rock rails, rear locking axle and a few other minor goodies not widely known, it is the most goodies money can buy short of a Badlands. Full disclosure, I got the Badlands because it is the best in terms of off roading and price, 4.7 gears, both lockers, sway bar DC, rock rails, etc, etc. But a close second for off roading is easily the BD. Rear locker is standard on BD, you can't get a front locker less you go Sasq. And both come with steel bumpers. To make mine cheap as possible, it is a stripped down version, no options, just the goodies. Suspension is overall higher a well, not just cause of the tires. Also you can't get a 4.7 ratio on the BD, you can on a manual BL.

So what do you have against Black Diamond? The badlands is a great off-road Bronco. But the Black Diamond is great for the occasional off road person. The Big Bend is more of a mall crawler.

You don’t know squat about the black diamond. You add Sasquatch for $6k and you get the most capable truck under $50k you only lose disconnect with a Black Diamond Sqach. Very disappointed in you lack of true research.

Lets see your video Fat boy? You loose a lot more than just the sway bar disconnect. SMH.

I'd say a Badlands stripped is better than a BD Sasq, how am I wrong? I mean the BD Sasq would still be a great deal, but better than a Badlands?? He did leave out some other things too, I agree.
@billbillg33482 жыл бұрын
@@MyCarsandProjects What does the Badlands have that the BD Sasq doesn't? Other than the Sway bar disconnect.
@MyCarsandProjects2 жыл бұрын
@@billbillg3348 I think just the sway bar DC as best I can tell, and $800. If you value the 35"'s and don't need the sway bar DC, get the BD Sasq, if you don't care about 35"'s but want the sway Bar DC, the BL is the way to go. It appears everything else is very similar, cost is $46,600 BL to $47,400 BD
