My lease is almost up for my 2019 GMC Terrain SLT AWD and I'm kind of leaning towards leasing a 2022 Buick EncoreGX AWD. My GMC Terrain currently has Bridgestone Ecopia tires that don't handle the snow very well, even with AWD. I noticed from this review that the tires on this vehicle are Hankook Synergy GT tires. Are Hankook tires in general better in snowy conditions, such as driving through unplowed streets? I'm trying to avoid leasing a Buick EncoreGX with tires that don't handle the snow very well. Do you know which Buick EncoreGX packages, or even GMC Terrain packages, that come with the better quality tires? Great question Jeff...I would recommend purchasing Winter Tires for either of these SUV's. I personally run Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 winter tires but if you don't like swapping tires in the spring and fall you could go with the NEW ALL WEATHER tires like the Nokian Encompass AW01. Hope this helps!

I just moved to the interior of Alaska, (near Fairbanks) everyone here swears by Bridgestone Blizzaks Winter tires, supposedly they are very soft rubber so they literally grip the road & they don’t freeze/get hard in 40 below zero weather. You can’t use them all year though because they are so soft you will wear them out during the rest of the year. Here they use these between Oct and May typically! So I’ve been told. I’ve also been told that is what the State troopers here use.

Front seat bottoms very narrow and driver seat squeaks at 7k miles.

It is a compact SUV meaning it's a smaller vehicle. However I haven't had anyone complain about the seats in the EncoreGX before. As for the driver seat squeaking bring it back to the dealership it might need the seat adjusted, cheers!

Hey Camille! The Buick Encore and the Encore GX are two different vehicles. The size of the Buick Encore GX is sub compact-plus, meaning that it slots between the sub compact Encore and the compact Envision SUV's. Hope this makes more sense!
